Get outdoors and take a walk on the wild side with this incredible Gorge Walking for Two in the Cairngorms National Park.

Walking, wading, swimming and clambering up small waterfalls, gullies and chutes, you’ll have to put all your skills to the test as you discover the challenges that come with this stunning gorge walking experience. You’ll be accompanied by two instructors, who'll give you a detailed briefing beforehand, so there’s no need to worry – just head out and enjoy yourselves! You’ll climb up the rocks to reach the top of the gorge, before taking a deep breath and taking a 10ft drop in to the plunge pool. Then it’s time to turn round and head back the way you came, only this time slipping and sliding down.

The perfect outdoor activity for any thrill-seekers, you’ll get all the excitement of an exhilarating water experience, alongside spectacular views of the Highlands.

What happens on the day?

On arrival you’ll be fully briefed and kitted out in a full-body wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet before making the 10-minute journey to the gorge. From there, you’ll be briefed again by your two instructors, before stepping into the bottom of the gorge and acclimatising to the mountain water.

Led by one instructor and tailed by the other, it’ll be a test of wills as you walk, wade, swim and scramble up small waterfalls, gullies and chutes. Once you’ve climbed the rocks to the top, you’ll reach the plunge pool, where you’ll make a 10ft drop in. Afterwards, you’ll head back the way you came, this time slipping and sliding downwards.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date

Participant guidelines

• Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult
• You must be water confident
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary

Availability

The experience is available for morning and afternoon sessions, seven days a week April to October. Some exclusions may apply.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow up to 3 hours for the full experience.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
