I LOVE these
5The Mooncandles are just wonderful. The remote is great, I set mine for 4 hours in the evening when settling down to sleep. If I'm just relaxing, I have the 'candle flicker' setting but for sleep, I prefer the solid night light setting. You can also choose 8 hours if you're entertaining but don't want to forget to turn them off. They do smell of vanilla and, thankfully, it's subtle and not overpowering. Vanilla can be a bit too much if it's strong but this is perfect. They are also perfectly safe for families with children and I am definitely buying some for friends with youngsters who have had to ditch the real flame candles. On the 'flickering candle' setting, it does look quite realistic. Obviously not identical but pretty close. They have also made the candles flicker at different times for added ambience and realism. Very impressed with the attention to detail! My favourite purchase of the year so far!

Real wax!
5I am a candle addict and always assumed that anything that wasn't a real candle would be a very poor substitute. I never expected to change this view until I saw these. I bought them without really understanding that they were actually made of wax, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only are they made of wax but they are perfectly scented with vanilla. They are not overpowering or artificial smelling. I'm a huge fan and will be buying more for myself, for other parts of my home and also for friends who also enjoy the gentle flickering of candle light

Not quite what I expected...
4I was impressed with the Vanilla Mooncandles and the quality of the packaging. The candles look lovely and they flicker realistically. I can only award 4 stars because I can't comment on the scent, and my product was switched in delivery.

An Excellent Buy
5These candles are just the thing for a romantic evening. Imagine coming home from work and your partner has set these candles up in your room, the light is off and you just see the flicker of the candle light. There is a brighter and a dimmer setting on the candles, as well as a choice between having the light constantly on or having it flickering like a real candle. Perhaps the real bonus to these candles is that you can set them to go off after 4 or 8 hours. So, unlike real candles, you don't have to get out of bed to blow them out. You can either do that via the remote control, or, if you wish to sleep with them on, set a timer going so that they they're not going all night. That way you don't have to worry about burning down the house or cleaning up the wax later. If you're debating whether to get them or not, I hope this review has helped
