The BioLite Camping Stove could easily be mistaken for a power station! It uses wood and other biomass fuels, so there's no need to lug heavy gas canisters around with you. As the combustion process produces energy, some of this heat is converted into electricity so you can charge small devices like phones and digital cameras.
If this wasn't enough, the generating unit also features a fan and its own battery supply. The purpose of the internal battery is to power the fan whilst the fire is getting going. As the fire builds, so does the heat, to a point where the stove re-charges its own battery and moves the fan onto a higher-output setting. The fan improves its efficiency, making it burn hotter and cleaner.
It's perfect for camping holidays and festivals. You can cook your food and charge your devices safe in the knowledge that your environmental impact is kept to an absolute minimum. -L.M.

Put the stove through an absolute torture test, All told it went for about 1000 hrs in zub-zero temperatures before it quit.First went the battery, then the fan with nothing to power it. If there was a heavy duty version to replace the gizmo I would use that.
Fantastic purchase! It is one of those products that you can live without until you buy on and then its impossible to go camping without. The fire and fan are quality and together produce a great amount of heat, enough to cook and keep warm. The USB charger is great for phones and my radio too. Great product that will be getting alot of use. Plus the best part, I got it for £107.00 because of the 20% off promotion!
I start by saying what a wonderful item. I purchased this as a means of snacking on my trips abroad. I was amazed by the way it heated up my pot of water so quickly. I just purchased it recently and have used it on two weekenders with not a hiccup. The item was great for charging my phone, torch, and mini speaker. a great buy the price seemed high but I was convinced that it was value for money and would last a long time. Not only that, I was please that my purchase was contributing to a larger cause, and saw it as a purchase and donation in one. THREE WORDS. BLOODY GREAT ITEM
I cannot believe how good this stove is! It is so simple to use and produces masses of heat. The only snag is learning how to light the stove quickly, but once you have got the hang of this it is the simplest and easiest stove about. The weight is next to nothing and having a cover it keeps everything else in your rucksack clean. It is a great bonus that you can also charge your electrical items for free. I was so impressed with this stove I bought the grill attachment to go with it. I am binning my gas powered stoves as this stove is so much better and will be looking to buy a second very soon.
I bought this item because i work outside as a countryside conservationists in all types of weather and habitats. It is easy to work and light enough to carry around which makes it very convenient, so know i can have a nice warm meal in the middle of nowhere without the need for gas just a few handfuls of twigs, and charge my phone at the same time.
This is an excellent piece of kit - very high quality and much cheaper than elsewhere. It was delivered very quickly and the packaging was of a very high standard
This stove is a great concept as well as a great product. The stove itself uses the wood gassification method to burn off the gasses released by the primary combustion, making it very fuel efficient . Not only that, but the module converts heat into electricity for powering the fan to help the fire burn hotter, as well as having a USB port to charge mobile devices. It is nicely built, and packs down to a smallish size. It ticks all the boxes for modern bush crafting
Haven't used the BioLite Camp Stove in the wilderness yet, but the test run in the garden went well. I boiled water and heated up my supper in a flash and soon after it was hot enough for charging, even using fuel that wasn't perfectly dry. Found the noise of the fan annoying, but I guess that's what makes it so fast!
The BioLite Camp Stove is a great piece of kit, had a BBQ at home to try it out and it cooked for 4 of us no problem. It lights in a flash and burns down to dust so there's no great pile of ashes to dig in.
