I've had an Aurora Mood Clock by my bed for more years that I have fingers; they are awesome. They do not disturb the sleep of my other half and so I love being able to gently tap the clock during the night to check the time, although I have come to dread green o'clock (6) when I have to get up and going to bed at red o'clock (2) is a definite no-no on a school night. I've always found it oddly comforting that when I have insomnia, orange o'clock (4) is there to see me through the night. So recently when I noticed the plastic casing of my Aurora Mood Clock was getting a bit shabby, I sought to replace it. The first one I ordered from IWOOT the alarm didn't work. The second one came without an adapter (lucky I had the old one eh?). The new clocks eat through AAA batteries, (even when used in conjunction with the mains adapter), the old ones would run on tiny coin batteries for years. The new clocks snooze when you tap them after the alarm goes off, the old ones a tap would stop the alarm (so now to stop the alarm you have to turn the clock over and attempt to find a tiny button on the base, all this in the dark and whilst trying not to hit a tiny button that changes the date and time and not turning off the alarm completely so your alarm fails to go off the following day and you end up sleeping late, missing your train and getting in to work late, not that that happened to me or anything ...). And don't get me started on the bizarre beeping noise that the new alarm makes, rather than making me want to get out of bed it actually makes me want to lob it across the room. I'll get used to the new clocks foibles, but the joy of ownership is diminished.

ok, get what you pay for

This product looks like in the photos but only in low lighting, not the whole time... This product is also smaller than it appears. But for the price it does what it says on the tin

Funky colour change alarm clock.

5

I bought this for my teenage son after I bought one for myself. A funky alarm clock that does what it says, changes colour when the alarm goes off or when you press it to find out the time. Good value for money and something a little quirky too !

Dissapointing

3

I bought a few of these thinking they would be great as a nightlight for my niece, little cousins and my friend who insists on sleeping with some form of light on. As it turns out the light will only stay on if the clock is plugged into the mains which would be fine if it came with a plug. Have to go look for those elsewhere and decided against giving these as Christmas presents for that reason

A good device

4

I have already given feedback on this to say. It does work without an external power supply. Only in one situation, if you want the lights to stay on continuous rather than turning off after 30 seconds. do you need the external supply!

Not so good

2

Brought one of these years ago and it was ok but went wrong after around a year. Brought another one last Christmas hoping that they had got more reliable, but they haven't , if anything worse. The time display is difficult to see and after only a month, 2 of the 'elements' that display the time stopped working. A smart looking product but one of poor quality. Perhaps instead of being a clock they should be a countdown until they go wrong?
