A new generation has been born. Isn't this just the most amazing humanoid robot you've ever seen? The Robonova-I is not just streets, but whole counties, possibly even countries ahead of any robot currently available for less than the price of a house. Although initially developed for the very high tech robotics market, the designers have thankfully also released the stunning pre-assembled version you see before you. This remarkable machine is controlled with 16 powerful HSR-8498HB digital servos and can walk, run, do flips, cartwheels, dance moves, balance on one leg, do press-ups, the list goes on. Standing a foot high, the Robonova I is made from custom gold anodized metal servo brackets giving him a strong and lightweight exoskeleton with durable plastic body case components that protect the control board and battery from damage. The range of movement and articulation is like nothing we've ever seen in a commercially available robot, he's really quite amazing - you simply must check out the movie of this guy in action to see what he's capable of, it's enough to make you drool.
The remote control unit comes with 26 pre-programmed movements, including such gymnastics as forward and backward rolls, head stand, cartwheels, attacking punches, kicks and different walks and balancing acts. Just click a button on the remote, and he performs. It's odd how despite being a pile of servos and electrodes (albeit a very clever pile) the moment he starts to move he takes on a very endearing personality - Asimov would be proud. The Robonova I is a very hi-tech piece of kit, and the more 'into' robots and robotics you are, the more fun you'll have. You can program him to do all sorts of tricks and gymnastic feats, and whilst the manual can look rather daunting, the programming has been developed to be understandable even to Luddites like us.
The Robonova I, or Sven as we like to call ours, is as beautiful and graceful as a robot can possibly be.
