According to the Mayan Calendar we haven't got long to go now until the end of the world! Now you can easily keep a track of this countdown with the Mayan Countdown Clock, which leaves you to go and do more important stuff like starting to cross everything off your bucket list before December 21st.

Featuring an image of a traditional Mayan clock, the countdown clock can easily be set to the predicted Armageddon (21st Dec, 2012). If the world doesn't end in 2012 (fingers crossed!) you can carry on using the countdown clock and reset the timer for any eagerly anticipated film, game, event or holiday in the years ahead. - A.D.

Bought this as a gimmick gift for my husband, we've been to Mexico for holidays and love going around the Mayan ruins. As we've booked to go back in February I thought this would be a fun way to countdown to our holiday. ;-)

It's not the end of the world

The design of the stand itself isn't great. Aside from the poor stand, the clock itself does exactly what you'd expect, you set the current date and time and the date you want it to count down to and it will count down to that date. The fact it can count down to any date and not just 21st Dec 2012 turns it from a one-off novelty to something you can re-use to count down to any major event

My son-in-law loves everything South American and he has a great sense of humour. He'll love the Mayan Countdown Clock. Obviously I'm hoping that he gets lots of use from it long after the supposed end of the world, December 21st...

A little disappointed with the Mayan Countdown Clock, what I thought would be a textured replica Mayan clock, was actually just paper. The stand also had a weak magnetic support point. Would be useful as a stocking filler joke present.

This Mayan Countdown Clock isn't very good. It is made out of cardboard and foam so doesn't stand up properly, and the left hand side of the LCD didn't even work on mine.

As it can be assumed, I do like a bit of controversy. Albeit a little tongue in cheek, I elaborate on my knowledge about the universe and all things connected. So when I saw this Mayan Countdown Clock I just had to buy it, now all my friends are acting in a bizzare fashion, believing that the world is going to end at the end of this year. Who am I to tell them any different? It's basically just a clock which can count down to doomsday, and after the event... well, that's just academic.
