Horribly fiddley

These are impossible to put together properly I did eventually finish construction but the pieces keep coming apart as the little tabs keep pulling out. i even tried soldering them together to no avail

These models are very delicate, being made of thin sheets of metal. A few times I have snapped a tab by tightening too much. You should also look carefully at the instructions, and make sure everything is the right way round. A mistake could spoil the model, and bending the wrong way could cause the model to break along the fold line. This happened to me but I was able to make a repair with super glue. The join is not noticeable. So, take care and you'll have a beautiful model spaceship.

Too fiddly, weak and sharp

Got this as a birthday present for someone. The pieces come in two laser cut sheets and popping them out can be a bit tricky as they're so small and have sharp edges. The material is also too delicate and snaps easily - it's basically like thick aluminium foil. It's difficult to attach the pieces together as the tabs are extremely tiny and almost impossible to assemble without some precision tools. You need to be very patient and have a gentle touch for this kit. It's a shame because the pieces are nicely detailed and the finished model, although small, would look cool whether you're a Star Wars fan or not.

If you have a steady hand and lots of patience this is a novel way to prevent boredom and the metal is ideal for this star wars model. It has parts that are extremely small but that is its appeal and why this model will take some time to complete. Be prepared with the right tools to handle such small pieces and take your time and I am sure you will be pleased with the result.
