Good idea BUT
2The idea of it is very good and unique. However, when you get the item it all looks very nice but its not geniune. Infact it says on the packaging something along the lines of "It is not possible to change the name of a scientifically registered star. This is a novelty gift and should not be considered otherwise." I personally returned it. Could still be a nice gift for a child that wouldn't question if it was real or not, but I bought one for my Dad as he is interested in astronomy. I was quite dissappointed when I found out it was simply a novelty gift. I don't think thats made clear before purchase.

Fantastic gift
5Love this gift. Comes in a neat presentation tin with everything neded to name your star. Bought as a gift, leaving the naming to the lucky recipient. Previously bought the same gift from a different company (17 years ago) (& paid a heck of a lot more for that one!) and it was one of the best reactions to a gift I ever had. Hopefully this will get the same reaction! Fantastic value.
