5So many oohs and aahs when this gift was opened! This was bought as an extra Christmas present and got the most attention with lots of I remember those, and they were my favourites. Would definitely buy this again.

Lovely little gift
4I bought the Retro Sweet Box for a friend who has everything and she loved it. She now has more than everything so I thought, why not get it again! It comes in a lovely little box in with bright pink tissue paper wrapping the sweets together. Lovely!

Great - but too many Parma Violets!
4I bought a Retro Sweet Box for my husband and one for my brother-in-law (two men in their mid-thirties, but little boys at heart) for their birthdays. They both went down a treat - forget the laptop - it was all about this! I bought my husband his first. His face was like a child opening a... LEGO Star Wars thing. His eyes lit up. He didn't know where to start - he just knew not to start with the horrible, soap-tasting Parma Violets. Despite it being 8 o'clock in the morning, he couldn't resist the sweet, retro taste of a cola cube. And he wasn't sharing it with anyone... A few weeks later it was his brother's birthday. As he had been so excited by this present (I needn't have got him anything else), he suggested we get him this. His brother's eyes lit up similarly. I don't think it's a boy thing. I begged for a sweet, and he guarded it for a while, but he left it for two minutes and during that time I grabbed myself a bit of sugar, and with it a piece of my childhood! Mmmm... This box turns men into boys, women into girls, and if you're buying for yourself, it will bring back the child in you. It will conjure up happy memories (okay, that might be the sugar, but who cares?!). Overall, it's an absolute delight... The one downside? The fact that there are so many Parma Violets when I know hardly anyone who likes them. Mind you, I guess if someone asks for a sweet, you could give them a pack of those... Luck of the draw,!
