Xploda is the type of game that puts your heart in your mouth, though not in a Hannibal Lecter way. It's a bit like Russian Roulette, except that the bang at the end isn't terminal unless you suffer from a dodgy ticker.
You play the game by inserting an inflated balloon into the Xploda, pressing the Randomiser button, and passing it round a group of friends. There's a wheel of fortune type spinny thing in the middle which each person spins, and it decides whether you spin again, pass it to your left, right, or have the happy choice of giving it to anyone at random in the group.
This is all very jolly, but deep in the machine a time bomb is ticking away, and at an indeterminate time a tiny needle will zip out of the unit and pop the balloon. You never know when it's going to happen, it could be in a matter of seconds, or minutes, but whenever it happens you can be sure whoever's holding the Xploda at the time will jump out of their skin (possibly into someone else's) and shriek like a banshee - all of which is well worth the wait. It's not for the faint-hearted, but Xploda is a brilliant nail-biting game that's almost more fun and tense to watch than it is to play.

Cracking Birthday Pressie
I bought this as a birthday present for my sister, but I was looking forward tohaving a sneaky go myself. So Iwas gutted when it arrived and it was all fastened into the box!! Nice retro packaging and she loved it, went down a storm at her party...any party will do...this was definitely her thing and with plenty of balloons supplied despite saying otherwise in the description it was excellent value for money!

Best Birthday Gift choice
Recently bought this for my nephew's 11th birthday (although he's more like a teenager already!!). Not the most grateful child in the universe but this went down a storm and considering the price, I would definitely recommend this to anyone on a tighter budget wanting to purchase something to keep an (older) child entertained. The only downside was his poor mum had to spend the rest of the day inflating the balloons because he couldn't and wouldn't put it down!!!!
