And once imaginations are sated, head to the stunning Conservatory Tea House to satisfy appetites with delicious sandwiches, scones, mini cakes and tarts, and a pot of hot tea - what better place to indulge in a historic tradition?

Any Important Stuff

Unders 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult aged 18 or over. Please note, this is an authentic mediaeval castle and certain areas may not be accessible for persons of reduced mobility.

Availability

Daily throughout the year. The Castle is open between 10am - 5pm. Afternoon Tea must be taken between 11am - 4pm.

Duration

A visit to the Castle lasts between three and four hours, including afternoon tea which lasts approximately an hour.

Dress Code

We recommend flat, comfortable shoes.

If the Conservatory Tea House is not available, afternoon tea will be served in another eatery within The Castle.
