Wolves embarked on their second successive season in the Premier League understanding that once again the objective would be survival. New signings Fletcher, Hunt and Mouyokolo slotted into the team well alongside the likes of Doyle, Jarvis and Ebanks-Blake to produce some entertaining and, at times, heart stopping football.
Full of twists and turns, not least on the final day of the season, the campaign was a memorable one as Wolves brushed aside neighbours West Brom and Aston Villa, saw victory against reigning league Champions Chelsea as well as Champions elect Manchester United, and saw an England call up for double player of the year Matt Jarvis; the first Wolves player to receive the accolade in 20 years.
As the final day of the season approached Wolves were one of five clubs facing the prospect of relegation. 3-0 down at half time, it seemed an impossible task but at the helm, and buoyed by a packed Molineux, Mick McCarthy rallied his men and as the drama unfolded elsewhere in the country the chant from the crowd could be heard "One Goal. We Only Need One Goal"
And how the players responded. The decisive goal followed with just three minutes remaining as Stephen Hunt curled in a spectacular goal, almost taking the roof off the Stan Cullis stand, and ensuring that Wolves would live to fight another day.
Relive all of the goals plus highlights from key matches of the season as Wolves stake their claim to retain a place in the Premier League.
