It is well known that in September 1939 the Germans invaded Poland. What is less well known is that during the time of the German invasion the soviets also invaded from the east. Thousands of Polish soldiers were captured and later murdered. Katyn looks at both the events of 1940 and the events of 1945 when the "liberating" Soviets pressured relatives of the dead to say it was the Germans who had killed their relations.
