Father’s Day Card
Making a great hand-made card is much easier than you think. All you need is a nice piece of card, a couple of pens and pencils, and you’re sorted.
I have found that the easiest way to get great looking, simple birthday cards is to pick up some brown card, a fine-liner pen and a white colouring pencil. First, Simply outline whatever image you want to draw lightly in pencil – in my case a football, copied by eye from a picture on Google images. Next, fill in the outline with the white pencil, making sure that you stay with in the lines that you’ve traced out.
Finally, add in the details. You can either go for the safe route and plan these out in pencil (watch out for smudging, though) or go the whole hog and outline it all in your liner pen and then add the details with that.
The final product far outweighs the effort, this quick example only took me 15 mins, and shows your dad you care enough to make the card yourself. Check out the finished article below:
Father’s Day Brunch
Again, this is a super-quick way to treat your father. Try out my recipe below for a great and simple Father’s Day brunch – serve with a hot black coffee!
Ingredients:
Half a ring of Chorizo
A handful of Cherry Tomatoes
An English Muffin
Salt, Pepper, and Oregano
Parmesan
Instructions:
Quarter up the tomatoes, and slice up your chorizo.
Put your frying pan on a high heat, with a dash of olive oil.
Half the muffin, and place it in the toaster on a low, lightly toasted setting.
Fry the chorizo for 1-2 minutes before adding in the tomatoes.
Stir as you fry for another minute or so whilst adding in the salt, pepper and oregano to your taste.
Place the mixture carefully onto the muffin halves, and lightly sprinkle the Parmesan on top.
