When Did This Friendship Begin?

It all started in September 1994, when we first met this group of six twenty-somethings living in New York City, and we experienced the ups and downs of life with them for an incredible ten seasons in ten years. The first scene gathers the entire gang at their favourite coffee shop, where we see Rachel Greene stumbling into Central Perk after she leaves her wedding and wants to start a new life with the help of her old pal Monica Geller. As the gang becomes closer, we watch true love unfold, but it certainly isn't smooth sailing for this group. There is not only romance but also bromance as Chandler and Joey's friendship grows and they even become parents to an odd couple of pets.

Who Is in This Group of Six?

This iconic group is made up of six very different people who, despite their differences, persist and compliment each other, resulting in a hilarious series. These characters include:

  • Rachel Greene, played by Jennifer Aniston, is the privileged but kind-hearted daughter of a prominent surgeon. She abandons her fiance at the altar to begin living independently and enlists the assistance of her childhood friend, Monica Geller.

  • Monica Geller, played by Courtney Cox, is the group's mother, most known for her obsessive-compulsive need for everything to be flawless, which is tough given that her apartment is where everyone goes when the coffee shop is closed.

  • Phoebe Buffay, played by Liza Kudrow, is the group's eccentric member and the creative type; an aspiring singer who plays the guitar and performs her own songs; "Smelly Cat" being a fan favourite.

  • Matt LeBlanc plays Joey Tribbiani, a good-natured but failing actor who, like us all, enjoys his food. This smooth talker is famous for his many on-the-go lovers, which he owes to one of the most popular pick-up lines, "How you doin?", which we have all tried to master at least once.

  • Due to his highly mature work, Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry, is regarded as the cast's most amusing but tired member. Although he is bored at work at a job no one remembers, Chandler's caustic style of humour connects the entire group.

  • Despite his reluctance, Ross Geller, played by David Schwimmer, is the group's nerd. This could be because he works as a palaeontologist at the prehistoric museum. Ross is unlucky in love, constantly mocked throughout the series for his three unsuccessful marriages and his on-again, off-again romance with the lovely Rachel Greene.

The Reunion

After decades of fans requesting a reunion of their favourite friendship group, their wishes came true in 2021! The Friends Reunion was much anticipated, with the group chatting about their best moments, returning to the landmark flat with those distinctive purple walls, and watching old clips. This reunion has provided answers to many critical questions, which could be in this collection of quizzes.

We finally find out whether Ross and Rachel were on a break, but we'll let you find out for yourself. With the ultimate trivia games, you can find out who is the biggest fan and who needs to revise more. Try reenacting Ross's biggest freakouts, guessing Phoebe's best lyrics with Friends-inspired charades, or even finding your favourite characters in a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle.
