It's becoming quite obvious to us all that green is the new black, and in line with that, here is the ideal desk toy for the trendsetting environmentalist. The Solar Desk Wind Turbine, is cool little kit that brings the green movement to your desktop, and reduces your carbon emissions (well, not really, but it feels good). It comes as a kit and took us just under five minutes to stick together - there are only 11 parts to it, and in no time we had a beautiful wind turbine on our desktop. Either bright sunshine or your desk light (not quite so green) will get the prop turning thanks to a solar cell mounted on the top, it really is pretty darn cool.

My colleagues & I bought one of these as a gift for the firm's Climate Change specialist. We all love it! It was a doddle to assemble and whirls around merrily on any sunny day. It brings a smile to the face of anyone who sees it in action. A huge success and a wonderful yet light-hearted way of making a point about alternative energy sources. :-)
