Drumsticks that don't need a drum! Each Rhythm Stick has a speaker in its base, and when you 'hit' the air with them, they make a great drum sound. Switches on the sticks let you choose between a classical drum beat, an electronic drum beat and a cymbal crash, and the ends even light up with each beat - vital for night drumming.
If you only get one set of these, then you're going to have a lot of fighting on your hands from everyone else who'll be desperate to have a go.

Great toy for lively kids!! ( or adults!!)
Excellent purchase!! Kept my 10 yr old boy who never stops fidgeting amused for hours!! Slightly more effective when you hit them onto a surface ( that could just be your hand) Definately recommend!!

great for a gift
I bought the item as a present for my brother who is interested in drumming, and the toy was great idea to make him smile and play. It works and we all enjoyed it.

Funny
These are obviously for just playing rather than practical drumming use, and after being stolen from my mom, (who actually got them for Xmas), my dad had them (along with his Airzooka) making as much noise and ruckas as possible. They had some juice left in the batteries already in them so we got to playing right away. I'd suggest buying some batteries jsut incase though. They are quite funny to play with and a good 'silly' present.

Fun, but best for younger children
A fun product for younger kids, and it's clever how you can change the noise by holding down a button, however the 'main' drum noise is not brilliant and there seems to be a slight delay when hitting a surface. You also have to hit quite hard!

Brilliant
These are a hit with everyone. Everyone wants to be a drummer at some point and now they can. The sound effects are great and in no time at all you will be drumming away to all your favourite songs. You could even hire a gorilla suit and copy the Cadbury advert!!!!

it's got rhythm
The rhythm sticks were a present for my 22 year old non musical son. It has turned him into the gorilla who thinks he is Phil Collins.

For the "Air Drummer" in your life
This was the 2nd purchase of this wonderful "toy" - I brought them as a stocking filler for my hubby last year. But even more appropriately as a secrect Santa pressie for our CEO who spends most of his life on a plane, plugged into his iPod & up until now - harmlessly Air drumming - we did warn him not to get overenthusiastic with them in case he got downgraded on his return journey for causing a nuisance - he was suitably delighted & tried them out immediately - all of the office staff were trying to find out who got them so they could buy some - word did get through to interested parties to ensure the sales keep up & these remain a popular buy. Would definitely recommend, but you may consider some earplugs for yourself if you live with the recipient!!

imaginative purchase
recommend the drum sticks but apart from including the batteries so that it could be used on Christmas Day, one also needs to give them a small Phillips screwdriver. We nearly had a divorce in the kitchen over emptying drawers for one, as opposed to getting on with the festive lunch. Drums won. hermit

good for an 8year old
i bought this product for one of my teenage cousins thinking it would be pretty cool.however,i felt i couldnt give it to him because of the packaging.it had a little kid on the outside and just looked like a kids toy.i was quite dissapointed.the product itself is good fun but really not suitable to give as a present to anyone over the age of 11!

Great product, dodgy packaging
The product is not age-specific so I was disappointed that the packaging displays a small boy and is very much targeted at a young audience. I was expecting something a bit more cool as I was buying them for an 18 year old, thinking he could sit in his room and play along with his CDs as the thinking man's alternative to an air guitar! Not to mention transforming the theme tune to Eastenders into a nightly ritual!

Good but not that good
Rythm sticks looked great but sounds they produce do not live up to expectation. There's no demo on the website, so it's hard to tell what's coming. It's a great idea but given the sophistication of most gadgets these days, they definitely didn't impress as they should have done for this price.

rhythm sticks
So brilliant for drummers on holiday. If you have a mad keen drummer, time away from the drun kit can be difficult. Put these in his or her case and problem solved.

This is the ideal gift for a 7 yr old niece who hankers after the rock & roll lifestyle. Should make her parents' life quite jolly too. So much for a quiet Christmas
