This is the perfect game for anyone who's short of time and can never manage to squeeze in a round before going home. Or anyone who's looking to dodge a bit of work for a while. With a self-explanatory title like 'Magnetic Golf' you can imagine what this nifty little package entails, but there's more complexity to it than you might think. Besides your little magnetic golfer himself (apparently there's no female version of him - that's not very representative, now is it?), you've got a green with a moveable hole, a bunker, a water hazard and some trees to set up your own personalised fairway.

Now we're not really golfers, we lack the dubious taste in clothing for a start, but boy oh boy is this addictive. We've managed a hole in one once, and that was enough to have us aching to repeat the deeply satisfying experience of seeing the ball snap into its rightful place beneath the flag. We've yet to repeat it of course, but that's partly because we can't resist mixing it up a little and changing the complexity of the course.

It's no simple point and flick game either, just a fractional increase or decrease in swing power can drastically alter the course of a hole, making it something of a fine art. With a bit of practice you can perform chip shots, tee shots and some pretty tricky putts and, because it's all magnetised, you've got at least some chance of getting a hole-in-one. You can really expand this game - we've gone as far as making a between-desk ravine, a cup-of-water-hazard and an in-tray bunker, all with a stupidly optimistic par. With Magnetic Golf, you can turn spare moments into hours of addictive, creative and strategic fun.
