Developed by the boffins from the labs at Polo Flair in Nevada, the Holo-Screen is set to revolutionise home and office computing. The unit plugs straight into a USB port - just set the slim-line transmission unit on your desktop in place of your huge clunky normal screen, and sit back in disbelief.
It projects a 16 million colour RGB linear light stream onto a wafer-thin field of vibrating dust particles that are naturally occurring in the air. Light refracting from these free-radical particles creates a two-dimensional hologram of your computer screen. It's so 'out there' science fiction, you can almost hear Jean Luc Picard murmuring "Make it so" in the background.
You can even adjust the transparency of the screen. Set it to solid view, or reduce the transparency and see what's going on on the other side of the screen! It does this by utilising random atmospheric analytic software that scans the invisible micro dust field, and altering the density of activated dust particles. Not only does it massively reduce eye-strain and classic beta-ray fatigue, but the footprint of the unit is so small that you'll have a virtually clear desk!
As with any emerging technology, there are drawbacks, however. Light breezes will cause a slight rippling effect across the virtual surface which can be a bit disconcerting. The software does compensate for this by re-booting the projection field and re-stabilising the activity zone, but it can take a couple of seconds for it to take effect.
Traditional computer screens are now a thing of the past, and HDS is the new kid on the block. If this remarkable invention seems beyond the realms of belief, then we're not in the slightest bit surprised.

Re; The Holoscreen
I am outraged that you think I have any dust particles in my house and if you carry on with this slander I will sue, with my highly paid legal team, Cage and Fish and McBeal.

Truly amazing, my desktop has never been clearer! The future is definitely here. Try not to fall over when you try and point to something on the screen and go through it.

Now i will never have to dust again!! This works better if the colour of your walls is a bit darker. And you should see it when you turn the lights out, Wicked!!

This thing saved my life, i was holoscreenin it up, when through it I noticed a curling tong wielding burglar coming through my window, due to this marvellous inventions hologrammyness i could pick up the handy iron pretzel I keep at my side, take aim, and throw it straight at his mother father button, THROUGH the holo screen, and carry on watching miss congeniality at the same time. I am sure you will agree, had this been a normal screen then it would have smashed, leaving tiny bits of bullock all over the floor, tragic. Yay for this genius invention, the burglar is defeated, his curling tong reign of terror at an end.

Lads, I love the idea of this but was disappointed on arrival and set-up. The notes don't indicate that the dust particles needed to refract the light are actually smaller in the UK. The US sized dust particles allow for a large screen resolution, unfortunately UK users will have to be content with an 800 x 600 display area. However, this is still a crackin' bit of gear !!

This was the best gadget I've ever seen. I bought it for my parents in law and they thought it would be some kind of socket, but then they just couldn't believe their eyes. This screen is amazing and what it does not read in the instructions is the following: You can make the floating in the air image translucent or switch the background to black.
It even allow to do it partially. So you can define a little window where the background will shine through with a click. This perfectly allows to watch your sprogs when they are feeling absoultely unattended.
Go for it, the best gadget since the narcotic pocket rocket launcher.

i was deriously impressed at this, when I first saw it i thought it may be some kind of joke, but after a bit of research I bought it and I've found that it is the best £599 I have ever spent, such rich colours in such a compact area, brilliant. oh and by the way dont' follow iwoot's advice, this really isn't safe for home freezing, take it from me, i learnt the hard way, anyway great product, cheers IWOOT!!

I wish to register a strong complaint about your description of the holoscreen. Reading specifically in your description that it was 'suitable for home-freeezing' I bought one immediately, and decided to store it in the three-star compartment of the freezer for the suggested three-month period, before producing it fresh as a birthday present for my father - an avid Star Trek fan and merchant banker. Imagine my horror when the entire house immediately dropped in temperature to -15 degrees, causing substantial damage and inconvenience. When you casually use a phrase such as 'suitable for home-freezing' you need to be very clear on its precise meaning. I shall not be using your website in future.

This is a great product. But I word of warning. It isn't mentioned in the instructions, but there is a new option in "display properties" for "safety interlocks". Think carefully before unchecking this box. I bought my brother a HoloScreen for his birthday. he unwisely unchecked this box, then played DOOM.... He's never been quite the same since he left hospital.

I have always thought that my space-roving bathtub was missing something. With this holo-screen, I know exactly what it was.
Unfortunately, there's actually no dust in space, so the "Linear Light Stream" is near useless. However, the corners do make excellent back scratchers, and if I turn the light intensity up high enough, I can quite literally burn plaque off my teeth.
I recommend this to absolutely anyone who enjoys wasting money. Also, anyone who wants to see where they wrote "gullible" on this product (see the ON switch) should fork out the few bob.
A fantastic buy!

My company. Parlof Oil. is so impressed that we are planning to move over to this technology with effect from today.

I've been waiting all my life for something like this to come along, and when it did, it didn't dissapoint. The affect that wind has on it is slightly annoying though. But it's only a minor drawback.

This product is top quality. The colour saturation is second to none.
Well worth the price tag.

i bought one for my son who has a cold at the moment. Well for the first few minutes it was alright, then he had a sneezing fit and the screen vanished in a cloud of green.

It's impressive it really uses the dust from the air, and the most dust your house has, the most contrast you'll get. After two months without any dust cleaning i'm having a 2000000:1 Contrast Ratio... Oh, and lung breathformed cement. I Just have a question, can I use multiple of those to build a 100:1 Widescreen monitor?

In Response to Frank W, frank, i believe there is a dust mag attachment being worked on as we speak, should be ready about this time next year, designed to give HD 1080i screen res to US units, it will give 720p screen res to the UK.
