Good idea, failed in practice

I bought a standard bottle of wine and put it inside the All Bottled Up. Unfortunately, the rope was long enough so that you could take the bottle out without solving the puzzle, which was very disappointing. I stuffed the bottom to rectify this, and it then wouldn't fit back in the box.

I bought three All Bottled Up Puzzles, as it seemed a good idea, and they will not deteriorate before I do. It was easy to set up with the instructions, I now await the response from the recipient. It seems like a well made item, and we hope it causes a lot of laughs. I would recommend not only the site, but this item too.

Good fun but frustrating

All Bottled Up is the ideal gift for that certain someone who has everything or is difficult to buy for, as you can be almost certain they don't have one of these! It's a fun gift to give and it's entertaining to see how frustrated the receiver is when trying to master the puzzle and get the bottle out. I received the dark wood version, it is well made and you can smell the wood when you take it out of the box, which I think is nice as you can tell it's decent quality. The instructions to set up the puzzle are difficult to follow as you have to follow written and diagram instructions. I managed to do it, but I think it was by fluke rather than anything else! Although this is advertised as a wine bottle puzzle, I actually fitted a bottle of champagne into mine. It fitted in the base fine, but the cap was a little tight. You could also probably fit one of the larger bottles of beer or cider into it if you wanted or maybe a spirit bottle. I would definitely recommend this as a fun gift to give. It's also a gift that can keep on giving as once the puzzle is solved, they can pass it onto someone else - as long as you keep the instructions!

Opened it up, put a bottle of wine in, wrapped it up and gave it to my dad for a birthday. The quality of the gift is far better than the quality of the wine I put in it! Good puzzle, and provided some amusement that can be used on different guests over and over.

Excellent and fun product

My dad hated the fact that he could not get access to his favourite bottle of wine when in the All Bottled Up. It makes this product an absolute success.

just want i wanted

I was struggling with an idea for a wedding present for my brother in law. Until i saw this All Bottled Up. It was perfect and I had fun setting it all up. It wasn't too difficult to do... I have told my brother in law he gets the instructions on his wedding anniversary.

Poor product

It is nothing as it says and definitely not worth the price paid. It is not a puzzle as I could easily untie whatever the method is.

Really good puzzle

I bought the All Bottled Up as a Christmas present for someone. After I placed a bottle of wine in the holder it took me quite some time, even with the instructions in front of me, to complete the puzzle. I'm sure the recipient will be baffled too, as I won't be giving him the instructions right away!

Hours of amusement

I bought this Don't Break the Bottle for my Dad and I don't know who had more fun, him trying to solve it or me watching him and giggling. Don't lose the instructions as you may need them when the recipient finally surrenders, or alternatively, to set it up again once it has been solved. Put your best bottles of wine in there, it will provide some protection until you're ready to drink it.

I bought this Don't Break the Bottle as a gift for my mother. It was quite tricky to put together, but it is still keeping her busy and sober.

how to torment a grown up?

I got the Don't Break the Bottle along with a bottle of wine for my dad's birthday. I put the bottle in the puzzle and presented it to my dad. What then proceeded was several hours of fun watching my dad try to gain access to his wine. Periodically, I would take the puzzle and solve it before quickly putting it back together again. There were several attempts to cheat by getting the scissors but I made sure it didn't come to that. As a whole, I feel this is a great item.

I bought Don't Break the Bottle for my dad for Father's Day. The puzzle took him and my partner 3 hours to do, it was great fun. I'm going to buy the same for my brother for Christmas.

Great idea for tricking friends

I bought 'Don't Break the Bottle' for a very good friend's 60th birthday present. I intend to put either an expensive bottle of wine or a good quality whisky in the puzzle. I had great frustration and fun trying to work out how to secure the bottle, and then to release it from the puzzle. I must get the hang of this before I give it to my friend otherwise I'll never get a drink out of him! Excellent buy and such a good idea for a party. You've just got to try it!

I've got the Don't Break the Bottle for my other halves birthday. The concept is fab and will entertain him.

The Don't Break the Bottle arrived as described and the recipient found it really good fun in trying to solve it and get to their wine.

Stuck for an idea?

This Don't Break the Bottle kept the 20 year old recipient amused for 15 minutes while he figured out how to free the bottle. Potential for further amusement as he said he will now challenge friends to the puzzle. An unusual and good value gift idea.

A friend recently had his 60th birthday, so, on the grounds that your brain cells need to exercise as you age, I gave him a good bottle of wine with this puzzle attached. It caused great amusement and I don't think he has solved it yet. I will relent and give him the instructions in a while! It did not take long to assemble, the instructions were perfectly clear. I have bought two more for other friends.

This Don't Break the Bottle is an excellent idea! I never like to give vouchers or wine as gifts... as I've always thought they were a bit of a cop out but since finding this great puzzle I will be sending out more bottles of wine! Such a great idea.

Frustrating!

Gave this to my aunt and uncle for Christmas during the family party. Very funny watching a load of adults acting like children desperate for a fix. Had to ignore the pleading of how to solve the puzzle, and in the end I think one of the kids finally found their way into it! Hours of fun, recommended!

Not as hard as I had hoped

Sadly this Don't Break the Bottle only took my dad 45 minutes to solve but it took him another 2 hours to get the puzzle back on without the instructions! The instructions are not perfect but there are helpful videos on youtube if you have a look. It's a great bit of fun and highly recommended.

This Don't Break the Bottle is the best idea I've seen in a long while. Not only did my Step-Father enjoy this gift but also the family visiting. It kept people amused for hours as they kept coming back and having another go. My parents will use it again when invited to friends houses and I will definitely buy another one as a gift one day soon. So much better than just turning up with the 'I have no imagination, so here's a bottle of wine!'

Thought this looked like a fun present and it was. Kept the family amused for ages although some members did try to 'force' a solution - had to watch them closely. Recommended.

Clever use of string and balls

The instructions were okay, but could do with more pictures. It's quite a simple puzzle to set up and solve, once you know how. However, if you don't know how then it is quite challenging. You can adjust the string so it fits different sized bottles.
