Great fun

I bought this gadget as a Xmas gift so I was able to record a message for when it was opened. Great little thing, easy to use but just wish the screen was slightly bigger.

Brilliant service and product

I bought this as a present for my dad. he loves his gadgets and has pretty much everything! so when i saw this i thought it was ideal! i ordered it on a thursday evening and it had arrived by the saturday morning, and that was on the slowest postal option available! talk about fast delivery! i then had to take it from the south west of england to the north west of scotland, so pretty much the length of britain, and i had charged this up and pre-recorded a message on it. i didnt honestly expect the battery to still be charged after DRIVING 600 miles with this, but it was, and my dad was able to get the present and a birthday message recorded by me as well! he thought this was a brilliant idea and a nice new addition to his gadgety collection! it went straight on the fridge! thanks IWOOT! you are awesome! xxx

We watched this electronic gadget on Iwoot and it was love at a glance, it's a funny place where to leave your vocal & video notes. I think it deserves the money: the camera has a good res. and the sound is "detectable" at low speech volume. You have only to speak louder if you desire your voice goes out normally. Remeber it's a short distance device and not what other reviewers think, e.g.: a camera where showing singer performances, that's all!!!

interesting little gadget was a good present for my brother shame about the volume though can only be heard in a very quite room.

There appears to be a microphone problem which means that in order to hear what you're saying you have to get close to the microphone. Doing this means the picture of the person sending the message gets distorted. If you get one of these I suggest you send it back (unless the distorted picture is an improvement on the original)

Fantastic idea!

I bought this for my daughters to give to my husband for Christmas. He's just got a new driving job and for 2 weeks each month he doesn't see the girls as he leaves when they're at school/childminder & comes home when they're in bed. He was a bit down about this but now they leave him a video message and he can leave them one back and they all get really excited about seeing and hearing each other's new message - a fantastic idea that's cheered everyone up for those difficult weeks! Well done IWOOT.

Constant Laughter

Handy red led switches on and off, telling you if there is a new message to look at - though we all found ourselves wanting to watch our own message we had just recorded, and once the new message has been seen the light goes off. Handy it also switches itself off when not being used (saves the power). I love this little gadget! It was a 'stocking filler' at Christmas, and we constantly found ourselves recording (silly) messages. Great source of communication. Handy little metal standy thing which you can attach the memo to magnetically and stand on the table, or elsewhere, to record your message if you want. Everyone I had told about it wants one too!

Great gift for gadget fan

Really cool little gadget - we charged it up and did video of us singing Happy Birthday! Only slight downside - playback wasn't very loud unless you were close to the mic meaning you couldn't really record anything but faces as you'd be too far away. Next day delivery just in time on Christmas Eve - brilliant.

Fun present!

I bought one of these as a Christmas present for my girlfriend during one of those sessions trawling the web for something a bit different. I stuck it to the metal lamp in my bedroom and put "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" on the stereo and (remembering other reviewers had commented that the sound recording was low) turned it UP. The screen shows what the camera is recording, which helps. I did my 30 second dance (ahem!) and finished off by dancing up to the camera and saying "I love you" - yes I'm a soppy old sod! Christmas morning and my girlfriend was delighted after watching my video. She went to show her daughter and pressed the record button by mistake... deleting my masterpiece. Doh! Never mind, I got to have another go while she took the dog out... and carefully pointed out which button was the record button on her return. A great fun present for any age (I'm 46), just make sure you speak quite close to the mic if you want your message to be heard.

dinky digital memos

This digital video memo device was a little smaller than I had anticipated and the playback sound level is also a little quiet. However, its very easy to use, comes with a metal stand if you dont have anywhere magnetic for it and my hubby and I found it a real fun alternative to leaving scrappy bits of paper for each other.

good buy

this little gadget is great. its so easy to use and is great for leaving little notes or messages for others or just reminders for yourself. I leave appologies to my girlfriend while i hide at a distance (the pub) untill the smoke dies down. Only downside is that it only holds the one message.

Brilliant for Forgetful Husbands

So fun and easy to use that even a man can work it out. It also saves marriages - no more arguments because you discover there is no more milk just as you've brewed your tea. Great gift!!! I fully recommend it!!!!

Great Idea

What a great idea! But the sound is poor. You have to get very close to make it audible and that distorts the picture. Pity.

Digital Video Memo

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. We both go to uni but to separate ones...3 and a half hours away from eachother!!! So, i thought this would be a thoughtful present for him. I made a little message for him telling him how much i love him. But told him he could only open it when i left, so it would be a nice surprise. Everytime i stay with him i make a new message so he has something to playback when im not there. He loves it! A great product..Thank you!!

i bought one for my brother, to leave messages for his 5 year old on. he says it's like looking at his face reflected in the back of a spoon. however, i told him that was probably just his face, not the memo!

Fun little item

Very useful little gadget for reminding your nearest and dearest of those important things that you remember first thing in the morning. I also use it to record messages to 2 year old my son from his gran - he loves it!

Sound-or lack of it

Digital Video Memo looks stylish but lacks any quality as regard sound. You have to shout to be able to hear the recorded message, thus leaving a not too happy face to look at. Very disapointed and a waste of money.
