I bought this for my husband to add to his 64 Nanodots I bought him for his birthday. No word of a lie, my husband spends hours playing with these balls!
These little Nanodots Magnetic Constructors Original magnetic balls are great fun, and keep you intrigued for hours on end, or at least they did for me. You can make many shapes and have fun moving them with another shaped magnet. (i.e make a ball and then pull it towards you with a few magnets in your hand). They come with 211 of the 216 in a diamond shape with instructions in case you ever want to make it again. The 5 spares are likely to come in handy as they really are quite small and are easily lost if you separate them into singular balls. The Nanodots are well designed with even an antibacterial surface for keeping them hygienic although they suggest you wash them from time to time with warm water just to prevent any build up of muck which could impede their magnetic strength.
These Nanodots Magnetic Contructors are highly addictive. I thought I'd get bored quite quickly with them but actually I want to buy more to add to them. Who'd have thought a few magnetic balls would be so much fun, I seem to remember when I was little my mum had some sort of ball bearing executive toy that I used to play with all the time. The magnets weren't as strong as these though, I'd definitely recommend them.
I knew I wanted these Nanodots Magnetic Constructurs the second I saw them! How could you not like an infinitely mould-able stress toy? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they have put too few in, I just need more... I always need more. You can simply buy more and add them to the wadded ball of magnets that takes pride of place on your desk! They do come in different colours but I am most fond of my plain silver ones, truth be told. When you drop one of these tiny dots, I bet you can imagine that they would be hard to find. If that's the case, then you are wrong! Simply make a strand of the ones you have and run them over the floor until you heal that little "click". A word of warning, they love sticking to metal desk legs, but then again, it makes for a perfect out the way location to store them when not in use. Who am I kidding, they are always in use!
