"A glimpse at the early films that helped shape a legend" - Andrew J Staton - Martial Arts Illustrated Magazine.

When Bruce Lee died on the 20th July 1973, the rush was on to produce some kind of Bio/Pic or feature, which would fill the void, created by the sudden loss of the little dragon.

One of the first tributes to the king of kung fu was a project called "The Real Bruce Lee" which was produced by Serafim Karlexis and Dick Randall, and was directly aimed at a western market place, whose interest in kung fu movies exploded overnight with the release of Bruce Lee's "Enter The Dragon".

"The Real Bruce Lee", was the first movie to feature Bruce Lee clones, but it is also able to claim that it contains the real Bruce Lee, who appears in selected clips from four of Bruce Lee's films he made while he was a child star in Hong Kong. These are "Kid Cheung" (The Kid), "Bad Boy" (Blame It On Father), "Carnival" (Love) and "Orphan Sam" (An Orphan's Tragedy). The clip from The Kid is a special archive treasure as it is the only footage in existence of Bruce Lee acting with his Father. The rest of the movie is taken up introducing Bruce Lee clones, Bruce Li and Dragon Lee, and as an added attraction, Dragon Lee stars in his own movie "The Ultimate Lee", which launched a very successful and long career. "The Real Bruce Lee" is a true treasure trove of archive material and kung fu action that takes you back to the crazy kung fu years of the seventies.
