Teddy Sheringham is known by many to be one of Manchester United’s greatest signings after joining the club in 1997. Man United legend Eric Cantona has just left the Red Devils and nobody could have envisaged the impact Sheringham would have as United clinched an incredible treble.
After beating Arsenal to claim the League title, Man United faced Newcastle in the FA Cup Final. Sheringham came off the bench to replace the injured Roy Keane after only eight minutes and within 90 seconds of coming onto the pitch he had scored United’s first goal. Manchester United went on to win the final 2-0 to secure their second trophy of the season.
Sheringham again started the Champions League Final against Bayern Munich, trailing most of the game 1-0, he scored a vital equaliser one minute into injury time. The rest is history as United went on to win 2-1 in one of the most memorable nights in their illustrious history.
This 30x12” storyboard commemorates Manchester United’s 4-2 victory over Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League Final. The photo was personally signed by Teddy Sheringham on 2nd June, 2013 at a private signing session. Framed and ready to hang, the storyboard includes photographic proof and a certificate of authenticity.
