brilliant

My son absolutely loves this Fisher Price Classic Teaching Clock. The fisher price packaging makes it feel like a premium product. If it had been made of metal, that would have been the icing on the cake!

... or was I just smaller then?

Thankfully this Fisher Price Teaching Clock is a teaching toy that is neither plastic fantastic nor dull. I'm sure nostalgia has a big part to play in why this is appealing, but that aside, it's simply a good looking toy. One gripe  is that this is way smaller than the original... or were we parents just smaller in the early eighties?

Fantastic Modern Version of a Classic

As someone who grew up playing with the 1960's version of this Fisher Price Classic Teaching Clock. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the modern version. Although the materials are updated, the toy has retained most of the physical features that made the old one so great. The toy doesn't feel overly plastic and the grandfather clock tune plays at the correct speed as it's not reliant on the old wind-up mechanism. Only one thing - I wish it ticked like the old clock. A change of the internal mechanism means that although you still wind it up, it doesn't tick as it winds down. A very cute child's toy with a vintage quality to it.
