This Authentic DIY Gingerbread House Kit was made by the Pertzborn family who have been making gingerbread houses for generations in a small factory near Cologne.
Not only is it great fun to build for all the family but this gingerbread house also tastes delicious. The kit contains everything you need to build your Christmas house - gingerbread (contains no artificial colours or preservatives), ready made icing and sweet decorations.
The box comes with clear step-by-step pictures and instructions on how to build your own Christmas chalet and little sugar figures are also included around the gingerbread house.

Ingredients:
Gingerbread: Brown sugar syrup, wheat flour, rye flour, spices, raising agent (ammonium hydrogen carbonate).
Icing: Sugar, water, glucose syrup, humectant (glycerol), corn starch, thickener (pectin), colours (E160a, E171).
Sugar Santa: Sugar, thickener (gum arabic), solubised milk protein, citric acid, colour (Safflower plant extract), colours (E120, E131, E132, E150d, E160a, E172).
Chocolate buttons: Sugar, whole milk powder, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, rice starch, glucose syrup, colours (lemon, safflower, spirulina , raphanus, carrots, blackcurrant juice from concentrate) thickener (gum arabic), caramel sugar syrup, emulsifier (soy lecithin), glazing agent (carnuba wax)

not a bad kit
On the whole the DIY Gingerbread House Kit with Sugar Figures is a good kit. My only criticism is that the icing is not thick enough! The decorations would slide down the roof. Once I made my own icing they stayed fine.
great to make for christmas
I bought this to make up ready for xmas, looks great value and is a great xmas activity for kids and also adults.

Haven't used this item yet - only hope I can make it look as good as the pictures on the box. If I can then it will look excellent, if not then who knows? Only time will tell!
Nice House
The instructions are easy to follow and the finished result is lovely. I added a little edible silver to give it an extra sparkle.
Good enough to eat!
I love this DIY Gingerbread House Kit! I recieved this as a Christmas present and it was probably the best present I could have ever got. The easy-to-follow instructions meant that my little Santa's house was built in around 5-10 minutes and the gingerbread house looks so good that I haven't yet brought myself to eat it, so I can't comment on hte taste but it smells INCREDIBLE! Would definitely recommend.
