Brilliant for children and adults alike!-Very lifelike- 10/10!
5Just received the Butterfly Jar as a gift for a friend who is bonkers about butterflies, and have immediately ordered another one for us to keep! Really impressed, the pretty, vintage style jar is larger than I expected. The word 'butterfly' is written in swirly writing in the glass on the front, a pretty embossed butterfly pattern on the reverse and a natural jute twine string bow are other nice details. The butterfly itself comes on a virtually invisible wire, tap the lid once (has a battery pack inside which sends a current down the wire) to wake up, twice to flap wings, 3 times to send it flapping around for ages! It's really lifelike and brings a smile to your face, even when you walk past it slowly 'sunbathing' in the inside of glass after 10 minutes of mad flapping around! It's hard to believe it's not real especially as it makes a gentle tink tink tapping against the glass with its wings. All of my friends and family have to look twice and have all said, like me, that it reminds them of catching jars full as kids. Really pleased, as are my 3 and 5 year old little girls, who "need" to collect all 4 different designs! Cruelty free, it looks pretty and lasts forever. Happy purchasing people, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

A Lovely Gift
5I bought the Butterfly Jar as a present for my mum as we have an ongoing joke about butterflies (me not being able to say it as a child) so I thought this would be the perfect present, and I was right! Everything about it is absolutely lovely and my mum loves it! The only thing I would like to see is an option to pick which colour butterfly you have.

Surprising and engaging
4The Butterfly Jar is a great gift, the reaction was one of surprise and wonder! The wire inside the jar is more obvious than the pictures make out, but doesn't detract badly.

5Bought this as a Christmas present for someone who adores butterflies and I think it's great. It looks like a real butterfly and when you tap the lid, even flutters like a real one. It's well worth the money and a cute idea for a gift.

Worth a Flutter
5I bought the Butterfly Jar as a present for my friend's birthday as I was sick of giving her vouchers or cash. Although I didn't fully open the packaging, I had the opportunity of seeing the butterfly in action. It really does look so life like and I would like one for myself! My friend was really pleased with it. She thought it was real! She told me that after opening the packaging fully, the butterfly was flapping all round the jar and her dog was mesmerised watching the jar. All in all, it made my friend very happy and it provided some entertainment too. Definitely recommend.

5It's so much fun to watch! Whilst it isn't real it looks real enough! I'm giving it to my neice and nephew and since they love butterflies. I'm sure they will enjoy it.

5I brought one of these for my mum, she adores butterflys.. When I gave it to her she was amazed and everyone admire how brilliant it is. Well chuffed with my purchase... definitely the favouite child now, keeps little ones amazed for hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5I bought this item as a Christmas present for my daughter and while Christmas hasn't happened yet, so she hasn't had her butterfly jar, my boyfriend and I had trouble putting it down so we could wrap it. A beautiful item and surprisingly realistic, I would definitely recommend it as an unusual present for anyone. A+++

really good, but not for butterfly phobics!
5I had one of these bought for me as a joke gift from a colleague, who is aware I have an irrational fear of butterflies and moths. I have to say, although the gift is great, it is scarily realistic for somebody like me, the sound it makes flapping against the glass is spot on, as is the flapping movements. You can tell its not real when its still but when its moving its far, far too realistic! I`m giving my one to my friends daughter who loves butterflies and i know she`ll appreciate it. If you love butterflies, i`m sure you`ll love it!

Ideal Gift
5I bought this gift for my mum as a birthday present and she loved it - she is constantly showing visitors the butterfly and everyone thinks its real. A very realistic beautiful butterfly in a glass jar just like the ones I used to take into my mum when I was younger with a Red Admiral Buttery from the garden. A great gift for the mum who has everything - bring back memories for my mum without the cruelty. I have asked for one for Christmas so I can show my friends, fingers crossed Santa brings one.
