Introduction to Owl Handling for Two

Head to Eagle Heights in Kent for a magnificent experience with some of the worlds most intriguing and majestic birds.

Perhaps you ll meet an eagle owl or a tawny owl either way you will be sure to see them fly high above you and witness their speed and grace.

An experienced owl handler will guide you in your handling of the birds and you will receive hands-on experience during your visit. Once you are done with the birds why not take a look around the rest of the park and say hello to a few snakes or mammals? Theres plenty to see and you should definitely take your camera.

What happens on the day?

On arrival you will join a small group of other owl lovers to be welcomed by the keeper. You will then be given an introduction to the owls; you will meet a few of them and learn a little bit about their life and their habitat in the wild.

After some basic handling instruction, it is time to experience the excitement first hand as you fly them loose and have them return to your gloved fist. There will be plenty of opportunities for photographs so dont forget your camera.

Validity

Your voucher is valid for 9 months from the date of issue

Please note you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date

Participant guidelines

• Minimum age: 14 (under 18s need parental/guardian consent)
• You should be in reasonable health and have a reasonable level of fitness as some walking may be involved
• One spectator is allowed and will be charged as follows:
  £9 for an adult (over 18), £7.50 for senior citizens and students over 14 (these fees are the entry charge to the wildlife park)
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location

Availability

Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue. It is essential that you book and take your experience before this date.

The activity takes place on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays all year round.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow approximately 1 hour for the whole experience.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.
