What happens on the day?
On arrival at the Historic Dockyard Chatham youll check in at the main visitors entrance at the ticket desk to exchange your vouchers for tickets. Once youve got your tickets in hand youll be free to explore as you wish, making your way to the HMS Cavalier where your tour will start (please arrive 30 minutes before the tour begins, you wouldnt want to be late!). Your gently-paced walking tour will take about 1 hour 30 minutes and will be filled with stories, taking you along roads and past slums where the TV midwives cycled and helped mums-to-be give birth.
After the tour youll have even more time to wander the dockyard, with 10 superb galleries and three historic warships to explore, each showcasing a different aspect of Royal Navy life and history.
