Blast back to the past

Fantastic turntable for the price, perfect for those who want a no frills vinyl player. Haven't used the software that comes with it yet. Only downside is the built in speaker is a bit tinny, but a great starter for those who are trying to build up their record collection.

Akai USB deck

Although this deck does what it says in the instructions, the quality of the cartridge and therefore the sound from my vinyl records is very poor. It isn't possible to fit a separately bought cartridge of higher quality. The Audacity software that comes with the deck is good. At the bargain price this deck was sold at I think it would suffice for pop music or a non-discerning ear but not for classical music.

Great buy.

The revival of vinyl got me playing my old LP's again. This player let me convert them to MP3 and put them all on a memory stick once I got the hang of the softwear. Great buy. Doesn't play to end of some records, but I'm sure there will be an adjustment somewhere.

flimsy

You get what you pay for I suppose. made from cheap flimsy plastic. Can't believe they ever expected to sell this at full price!!! I reckon mine is faulty as the arm seems to wobble and when you play a 12" or album it won't play the first inch without skipping, like it's on a spring that's adjusted wrong. 3 stars for the sound quality as it sounds great when put out of a decent speaker. built in one is next to useless but I suppose it's more of a monitor for the job in hand.

I'm spinning around

The turntable is great for playing big black round records, the software to convert to digital is rather tricky and takes lots of playing with before I got the knack.

Vinyl Revived

This is a great little turntable - for the sale price. It's not a sturdy piece of German sound system engineering - but you know that when you buy it! As you'd expect, the sound quality is not good from the turntable but I'm expecting better things when I've connected it up to my sound system/laptop. It's neat and has all 3 record speeds so I might even drag out the two 78rpm records that have survived.
