At last, a hot cup of coffee

As an author I find that when the muse strikes and I am typing away, my tea or coffee sits on my desk and gets cold. Not any more! This little device plugs into the laptop and keeps drinks warm for an hour. It saves money because I am no longer pouring away half drunk cups of coffee. A great idea!

It works as well as you would expect. My only problem with it is that it could do with a longer cable, and to be able to accommodate larger cups and mugs. Other than that it does the job well.

very useful

I gave this as a present to my mum. So far she's really liking it as she can use it to keep her cups of tea warm while she's working. Also, it doesn't take too long to heat up which is good. I would definitely recommend this item.

Warm Feeling for this

I'm a massive tea addict, but always get caught on the phone at work so my cuppa gets cold. Found this little product and it works perfectly. I now need something which will stop so many calls at work.

Plastic, flimsy and small.

This is a really plastic, lightweight device. Feels incredibly cheap. Although I've bought it as a present, I'm too embarrassed to give it to my loved one. Also, be aware that when it says cup warmer - that is really ALL that will fit on it (even though the image suggests it can accommodate a mug). I bought one of the hot/cold mugs on here and it doesn't quite fit on the warming plate. I really am disappointed. I expected better from IWOOT; but maybe it's just the copywriters' fantastic use of words that convinced me everything on this website is fantastic.

my dad loved this

i was looking for ages to get my dad a useful and different present for his birthday and i found this wow, when it arrived my dad opened it and it took him a few minutes to work out what it was, but then to watch his face light up when he finaly realised his beloved cup of tea could be kept warm while he was playing his favorite games on the computer he was so excited, he was only disapointed that it didnt come with a programme to show my mum how to make a cup of tea and bring it to him but you cant have everything all in all he was delighted with his new gadget

It's changed :-(

I bought one of these a couple of years ago for my PC at work (the one pictured above) and it worked a treat! As a result of this, I recently bought a second one for my PC at home, only to find that the model they ship out has changed in the mean time. The new one has one big problem - it's too small! A vast majority of normal mugs are too big for the hot plate, whereas the old one they used to ship was big enough for all mugs. Please IWOOT, go back to your original supplier for these as the ones you ship out now are just not as good as before.

Luke warm rating

If, like me you prefer your hot drinks to be hot - then don't use one of these ! As a gift to (briefly) impress your friends then great. But remember - they will only be impressed up to the point of using it.

Best pressie I got

A smashing pressie from my daughter. Just what I needed as I lose count of the cups of tea that go cold while I'm surfing. Definitely the best Crimbo pressie I've had in years (except maybe my 32" telly!!)

bestest xmas pressie i ever got someone!

i saw this whilest browsing for xmas pressie ideas, and had to get it for my dad! when he works at home on his computer he'd make a coffee and that would be it! then he'd moan its cold cos he's been busy and i'd moan that he's wasting coffee! (being a man he wouldnt blast it in microwave!). now he plugs it in and coffee never goes cold! he's happy because he can make a coffee last an hour or so and i'm happy because i'm spending less on coffee!! thank you guys! i love this place xxxxxxxxxxxx

we needed these!!!

With 3 laptop addicts in the house and more tea/coffee cups in and out of the microwave, the USB Cup Warmer is definitely the best thing since 'sliced bread'! Six laptops between them and always doing something is a recipe for drinks constantly liable to go cold without the warmers.

We're stars

Bought for hoped for future son-in-law. We approve of him, and as he's a gadget fan, should rate us above his own parents. A paultry price to pay for his life long devotion to our daughter!

Very good purchase

Having a very forgetful husband for whom endless coffee's are made, to go cold, I saw this online and decided that it was an IDEAL present for him for Christmas. He has used it already a couple of times but such a simple idea that no-one else had thought of before. Brilliant!

Surfing pleasure

The best idea yet for those of us who are so busy surfing that we forget to drink our tea. This keeps the drink hot and cheery.

Simple and effective

I gave this to a writer friend who drinks lots of tea while she stares at her blank computer screen. It proved to be as welcome as it is imaginative. She even finished some chapters.

What a purchase!

I first thought that purchasing a USB Cup warmer would be a bit... odd. I then purchased it, and if I'm being honest, I can't live without it! No longer do I sit there in the office, and gag on cold cups of tea! It keeps it just at the right temperature, so now I can have a fresh, hot cuppa sitting at my desk waiting for me, while I'm playing fussball with my colleagues... Oh, I mean 'working'.

dissapointed!

brought this item for my boyfriend who loves computer gadgets it only workes if u have a small and flat bottom cup so not really pleased with it also after 2days it stopped working so all in all not pleased with this product- disappointing!!

Date: 17 December 2009

Not the best of purchases

It does heat up and it is a good enough looking but unless you have a flat-bottom cup, this will only marginally slow down the cooling process, it will not keep your cup warm. But it's a good gimmick grab-bag kind of gift.

Ideal presant

I bought 2 of these, one for my mum and one for my step dad, they run as business in an industrial estate in a lock up workshop. It gets very cold in there (which obviously cools down their drinks very quickly). When they have their break they sit at their laptops so this gift is absolutely ideal and they will love them. One of my best buys this x-mas :D

Dont Buy!!!

I bought 2 of these and not happy. This item does not do what it says on the box, it only heats up the centre of the plate and does not keep the drink warm at all. I am very disappointed as a friend of mine bought one last year which is slightly different but works perfect.

The Perfect Gift for Dad

Even if I could think up any present for my dad, I would not have thought of something so perfect. The clues were always threre.. loves his comp...loves his tea...and prefers it warm. And its obscenely cheap. Can't wait to be "the best daughter ever" at christmas.
