Unicycling, as similar to riding a bicycle as surfing is to macrame. If your sense of balance is more finely tuned than your sense of self-preservation, then this is for you. Don't buy this if you're scared of a challenge, though it's great fun having a go. The really tricky bit is keeping the six watermelons in the air without your wheel slipping off the tightrope. Unicycling is not easy, but then neither is origami, and whilst paper folding is very creative and all, it doesn't get the adrenalin pumping, or indeed your legs. Half as useful as a bicycle and twice as entertaining it's a full sized cycle and comes boxed, requiring some very elementary assembly. The seat height is fully adjustable, and the handlebars are, well missing, which we gather is the point of the whole thing.
Features
- A snazzy chrome unicycle with fully adjustable seat height.
- Requires a standard bike pump (not included).
- The unicycle can support anything from 15lbs to 200lbs.
- Suitable for ages 14 years up to 54 years (the unicycle 'people' clearly stipulate these ages which makes you wonder what can't you do before you're fourteen, that you suddenly can thereafter, until that fateful day when you turn 54 and forget it again?).
- Size: 102 x 49 x 12cm (maximum height).
Not for the faint hearted.

I learnt to ride one of these long before I was fourteen, so don't let the age thing put you off. These things are THE BEST fun you can have and not half as hard as they look, with a bit of dedication. However unless you really aren't fond of your interior decorating, make sure you have somewhere outside to practise, preferably with something to lean on. Once you've got one, you'll never give it up.

God, I'm annoyed. Firstly because I just bought myself a unicycle for my 55th!!! birthday, and because you are selling them cheaper, and just as good. What's wrong with being one wheel short of a full bike at 55? AND, PS, NB. My son who rides at age 13 falls just short of your other extreme. Good fun at any age!

These are fantastic to ride. When I'd started to get the hang of it, I remember feeling that I was travelling too fast. No problem I thought, I'll just freewheel, like on a bicycle... Ooops! The wheel STOPPED! I didn't, and have never seen the ground rise so quickly. I never did that again :) I first learnt many years ago, and it's something you never forget, just like riding a bike (pun intended).

I got a unicycle for Christmas ages ago. I learned how to ride it just before new year's eve and I haven't stopped since. These things are priceless, loads of fun and it's great to see the double-takes people make when they go past in cars. Mountain unicycling is highly recommended!
