It doesn't matter much whether you're a budding Cousteau, a keen snorkeller, or you just like chilling on the beach or by the pool - cameras, water and sand are not a happy combination. But of course if you're doing any of the above, you want to have a camera with you, which is where this great little underwater camera comes in.
The Aqua-Pix camera has a motor-drive, in-built flash (with red eye reduction), a large clear viewfinder, and is water resistant down to 6 metres (~18ft). The flash is automatic and it takes standard 35mm film, the shutter release button has a safety cover on it to stop you firing off any pictures by mistake, and the whole thing fits neatly into your hand. It calls itself "professional", which is stretching the truth just a tad, as a decent professional underwater camera would set you back over a grand. Nevertheless it's a tough, reliable, and simple solution to getting great shots underwater. And you can rest secure in the knowledge that safe in its water-resistant case, you can chuck it in a beach bag, sand and all, and know it'll still capture all your snaps.

I went to sunny Spain for a few weeks in March and I took my brilliant underwater camera from IWOOT that came outstandingly fast through the post (about the speed of the L39 jet to be precise). I had been in Spain for 2 and a bit weeks and must have gone through (well let's just say a lot) of films, and was only a couple of pictures away from filling yet another, when me and my little brother were having a little play fight and I accidentally (yeah, right) tripped him up and he fell in the hotel pool. He got out, soaking wet and dripping (well obviously, because he's just been in a pool) but he was in an enormous mood - I would have guessed that it was due to him still being fully dressed, ready to go out to a meal, with the shoes he'd purchased earlier on in the day. He wanted revenge!!! He looked round and saw that the closest thing of mine which was the amazingest (if that's a word) thing ever from IWOOT, the underwater camera and he said "hope you haven't got any 'once in a lifetime' photos on this" and I then said "don't throw it in the pool, please don't" begging him not to. And then... he threw it in the pool, and I said "nooooooo (but longer) - my underwater camera!", with the biggest smirk (you could possibly have seen) on my face. And of course the rest of the hotel guests that were by the pool were wetting themselves with laughter as well. Who could'nt?!

For my recent visit to the Galapagos I thought your Underwater Camera might be useful. Only a brief visit, but one opportunity to swim in beautifully clear water and try it out. Being very short-sighted, and wearing goggles, I didn't get a particularly good view of the fish around me, and taking photos was very much a matter of point, click and hope for the best. I was really pleased with the results!

I bought your fab underwater camera for a scuba expedition on my gap year.
I'm not rich, so this was a good compromise, you only need to use one or two films and it's paid for itself over a disposable waterproof camera! I'll be honest the pictures are not 'professional' but I got some great ones.
