The London Tube Map is probably the most iconic schematic* map ever drawn. Despite being topographically inaccurate, this lifeline to understanding how to go where in London has become a classic work of art. Nowhere has it been better represented than in this achingly cool wall mirror from those award wining London designers at Suck U.K. The London Underground map was the brain child of Harry Beck (a London Transport employee in 1931) who realised that drawing an accurate map of the tube system would just confuse the heck out of us all. His graphic schematic (which rhymes so beautifully) has become famous the world over, and been copied again and again for other underground systems all over the planet. This sizeable 75cm long mirror comes with steel wall brackets and screws for mounting, and is quite possibly the most chic hall or wall mirror in circulation.
*Schematic means it's a representational diagram, as opposed to a topographical map (i.e. it's shape bears no relation to reality).

I love the mirror. Since purchasing it, I have used it extensively to practise my night-time activities in my latest BHS mac. Comrades - I am setting up a 'Pests who worship pikey mirrors association'. Our first meeting is at the Bethnal Green branch of the British Legion this Saturday.
Be fantastic to see like-minded people there and the first 10 guests will receive a complimentary fish paste sarnie and a copy of my new book 'Mirror worship - The true utopia of humankind'
Please get in touch.

Since buying this mirror for Fathers Day, I have become favourite #1 daughter for all time! Words cannot express how happy, delighted, thrilled, tearful and just basically grateful he was! He even designed and built his new office around it (little bit of a lie, but it does hang in pride of place)! And he's not even a Londonite or a train spotter! So buy this for the dad in your life and become #1 daughter in his life, then you can tell your siblings to 'stick that in your pipe and smoke it'! Ha!
