Time is of course relative and yet in the grand scheme of things somewhat ethereal, making it fairly confusing stuff. So rather than getting bogged down in absolutes that in essence don't truly exist, surely it's better to make the whole time telling thing approximate, and therefore naturally more interesting. Whatever that means. The Tokyo Flash B Version Watch is certainly not into absolutes, it's more about probability theory and approximations, or something like that. With a watch face that looks like it's been ripped from the con of a submarine, and a very neat pre-time whizzy LED display, it tells the time (when it's stopped being flashy and funky) using three separate indicators. The round face with its radar-like blue line tells you the hour, the short bar tells you the minutes in multiples of 10, and the long bar in sub-ten minute increments. So by our reckoning, the image here says it's about 2.24, but who cares what the actual time is, when the design of the watch and trying to work it out is what it's all about.
