Description

Magnets. Is there anything they can't do? Well, there are lots of things they can't do but that doesn't make them any less suitable as a desk-top stress buster. The NeoCube Alpha has arrived at IWOOT Towers and is impossible to put down. This magnetic puzzle is made up of 216 metal ball bearings and it doesn't have any solution - you're just supposed to play with it. Well, if you want to aim for some sort of goal you can always try and make them into a cube (it's not as easy as you'd think). It may sound ludicrous, but this is really, REALLY addictive. You can make loads of different shapes with them, build yourself a little pyramid, make a Geiger-esque statue - just let your imagination run wild and you'll almost forget you've got it in your hand.

  • 216 magnetic ball bearings.
  • Make them into a cube, a pyramid, any shape you want.
  • It's a great little stress buster and it's almost impossible to put down.
  • Suitable for ages 12 years +.
  • Size: 18 x 9.3 x 0.7cm (in packaging)

Simply The Best

If you are looking at this product unsure wherever or not to buy it, DO IT!!! It only cost £19.99 plus the postage which is £3 something. Watch the videos of NeoCube on youtube. They also sell it in Gold and Bronze and in different sizes etc on other Non – UK based websites. ALWAYS trust IWOOT. There is another product that is similar on this site called Bucky Balls. It had no reviews and I am unsure if it does what NeoCube does. Buy Buy Buy!!!!

Fun, fun, fun!

It is so amazingly fun! It kept me entertained for hours, and I could NEVER get bored with it! I still haven't figured out how to make a cube but I love making other shapes with it! I can't wait until I get Balls cubed... they look almost as fun!

Infuriatingly Addictive!

Within ten minutes of receiving it, I'd made the cube. Now four days later, I'm still showing all my friends how to make the cube, so i haven't really had time to play with it properly yet cos I keep getting it 'stolen' by everyone else!! A little on the steep side cost-wise, but a definite 'Best Buy' for me! If you want an addictive puzzle to give you one more reason to procrastinate, this is it!!

MAG-nificent Purchase!

The NeoCube Alpha, I've had it for about four days now, and I just can't put it away! I love it, my friends love it, and you can even perform some "magical" tricks with it if you use it right!

Can't put this down

Ok, you've seen the video, and tried to do the cube (it's easy enough, as long as you don't get opposing polarity somewhere in the plan!), and you move onto other things. 3D mini models work well, and flat plan pictures are proving equally distracting, and compulsive. I need another one, as the whole family are into this little gadget. Still, I can always take it into the office!

Ridiculously fun!

This is a great present, I gave it to my boyfriend for a birthday last week and he hasn't put it down. He carries it around in his pocket too or wears it as a chunky accessory. It's a great toy for all ages and although you can make simple shapes immediately I don't think we will ever run out of ideas, the possibilities are endless!

OMG

If you work in an office, dont expect this to improve you productivity. Once you get the hang of the basic shapes its amazing! This will NOT keep you entertained for hours... more like months. Great value for money, untill your boss confiscates it and you need to replace it :/

Small but brilliant!

This is a MUST HAVE if you have an ITOUCH, IPHONE I have just bought 3 Movie Peg's for the i Phone / i Touch Marvelous, no hands, no falling over, can see the clock without touching it.... long time waiting for this brilliant little, yet simple gadget to make life easier. I am now the coolest mum in the world to my three kids aged 17.14 and 46!!! I have bought many items from IWOOT and I have never regretted a single purchase. Buy with confidence from a great company. Thank you IWOOT

Life Saver

One of my staff were forever playing with loose coins which used to drive me insane. I thought this would be the perfect distraction - and I was right! Now he plays with his NeoCube instead. He says it is the best gadget he has seen in a long time and not only keeps his hands amused but his brain too - as he tries to come up with new challenges everyday.

Good keep quiet gift

Bought this for my boyfriends 23rd birthday, thinking, brilliant a little gadget for him and his workmates to play with at the office when they're bored........ BACKFIRED! Instead he spent over 3 hours on his birthday playing with it and ignoring me and his family! Yesterday he took it into work and indeed it worked just how I planned and now his workmates are after one. Such a simple gadget that keeps people entertained for hours........ also good as a blackmail when they are not doing what they're supposed to be and you threaten to ruin the cube they spent so long putting together! (Mean but funny, never seen him wash up so quick!)

A Brilliant Gift

A bought this for my brother on his birthday, he loved it. He wore it as a bracelet to the pub and amazed his friends with the strenth of the magentic balls. By the end they had split the balls up and were all trying to make cubes out of them.

Once you pick this up, it's hard to put down again. Totally worth the money. Just remember to put it away if you have guests over or you might find they are more interested in your toys than you!

a good fun puzzle for difficult to buy for folk

i bought this puzzle for my husband and he loves it, it came beautifully gift wrapped with a hand written gift card very promptly.

Looks good on the shelf and loads of fun too

I've got others of this kind but these magnets rock! They're very strong so it's rather easy to change the figures. When not playing go for the cube as it looks good over on the shelve.

These things are incredibly addictive

I bought a packet of these a few weeks ago because the video looked interesting. In short, they haven't been put down since! Everyone in the office has had a good play with them, to the point of my manager having me buy two extra packets for him! Each magnetic ball is around half a CM size and surprisingly powerful for something this small. It's a good idea to read the instructions for basic usage. These shouldn't be used in the workplace however, you will get NOTHING done!

Magnetic balls

Another Christmas present, well received. Very tactile and time consuming, the video made it seem a lot easier than I found it!

A hit

This was the favourite present of my 22-year-old nephew,. He couldn't stop playing with it - except when one of us, his father, aunt, grandmother or brother got hold of it, after which he couldn't get it back. My only reservation is the price.

Frustratingly addictive toy (and jewellery)

What a great conversation piece and something you just can't put down. I turn it into a thick bracelet and wear it out, then peel it off and show it off to who I'm with and I haven't found someone yet who can't keep their hands off it and isn't intrigued by the thing. How on earth you make the shapes in the video I don't know - do you hire out the "man-behind-the-hands" for personal demonstrations?!!!!

Won't put it down!!

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he didn't put it down all over the festive break! It's one of those things that is addictive and so simple to play with. Most adults had a go at making different shapes etc, the ultimate shape being the cube, which is not as easy as you might think! Be prepared to be hooked!!

This is soo cool i have it on my desk at work in my car anywhere i go it gives me hours of entertainment, slighty high priced but still a great little toy.

Hours of Fun

Bought for 16 year old lad permanently attached to laptop but no more he loves the neocube and so has everyone that has used it. Far harder than the clip makes it look but a great challenge. Well worth the money.

Tiny balls of joy!

Infuriatingly addictive! I bought this for my boyfriend and at the age of 32 you would think he was 10 years old. Keeps him amused for hours and tests his determination. There are so many inspiring videos on you tube that I think I can guess what he will want for his birthday...."more balls please!"

4

Date: 05 January 2010

Harder than it looks

These difficult little balls certainly test your patience from time to time...but persevere with it & you can do some awesome things with them. Kept me quiet for a while & I can talk for England! Only thing I would say is its a shame that they dont come in a box/tin of some description. As a present they don't look very much, I have seen similar in a tin.

Unputdownable!

I bought this as a birthday present for my Dad whose birthday is just before Christmas. Over Christmas every single person that passed through the house HAD to pick the Neocube balls up and play with them (!!). They are addictive and fun to mess around with.

5

Date: 05 January 2010

Awesome Puzzle

The NeoCube Alpha kept a whole bunch of people occupied for hours during a NYE party. I wouldn't describe it as a stress reliever, as it can be quite frustrating when the intricate shape you've been making starts sticking together! However, it was a great present and offers hours of entertainment.

5

Date: 05 January 2010

Totally cool

Got this as a little stocking filler for my husband and it's brilliant! He was sucked in within seconds of picking it up and we had to hide it when several other visitors had similar reactions! Plus it arrived exactly when IWOOT said it would. Cannot fault my first purchase and I will be back for more! Keep up the good work dudes!
