The Sun, Moon and Twilight Jars are ingenious and rather charming lighting concepts from designer Tobias Wong. Just as jam jars store jam, the Sun Jar stores sunshine. The Moon Jar also stores sun, which might be a little confusing, but it's because it gives off a soft blue light at night rather than a warm glow. To confuse matters even more we've finally got our hands on the beautifully dusky Twilight Jar, which also stores sunlight. Simply sit the jars on your windowsill during the day, then when it gets dark they automatically turn themselves on and glow with the day's sun. The jars contain a solar charging panel and low voltage bulb along with an auto light-sensitive on/off switch. Don't let the sun go down on your day,let the moon come up at night, and bask in the beautiful twilight whether it's cloudy or not.

- Choose either the Sun Jar, Moon Jar or the New Twilight Jar.
- Just as a jam jar stores jam, the Sun, Moon and Twilight Jars store sun.
- The Sun Jar glows Yellow, the Moon Jar glows blue and the Twilight Jar glows a dusky pink.
- Pop the jar on the windowsill in the light and it will automatically glow by dark.
- A low voltage bulb powered by the sun and the solar charging panel allows the jar to work.
- An auto light-sensitive on/off switch.
- Suitable for ages 5 years+.
- Requires sunshine and a solar cell battery (included).
- Please note: Winter months aren't the most conducive to a healthy charge - for improved results, leave your Jar switched off (switch up) whilst charging. This conserves battery life and will leave it to illuminate when you need it to. If the weather has been particularly bad, as a last resort you can also charge the batteries in a normal battery charger.

First of all, IWOOT surprised me by delivering the product 2 days earlier that they said. Then when i tried it, it instantly proved its worth. after just half a day charging at my window, it had enough power to keep glowing for all the night, and it would have gone on longer if I had not put it back on the windowsill.

A jar of sun! Well it wasn't full yet so I left it to absorb whilst I celebrated my birthday.

This innocent little jar sits on my window sill soaking up the sun (literally), although it never seems to develop a tan.
I loved the idea of something so simple-looking, yet eco-friendly (uses solar power), and the fact that it automatically turns on when it's dark is just perfect!

Amazing! I recieved it yesterday, and I put it on my windowsill. It said that it needed a couple of hours in direct sunlight to charge, but it was raining - and it still had enough power to last throughout the night!!!
It gives a lovelly orangy-yellow-ish glow; it is a really welcoming feature to my room!!

The Moon Jar is fabulous! It's beautiful blue glow makes other coloured lights look wishy-washy. I meant it to be a present for my grandson but I can't bear to part with it; I will have to buy another....

Took my Sun Jar camping. Ok, not such a good idea, you say. Well actually... the first night the onset of heavy rain revealed many holes in my tent. The second night, despite the rain, my tent was much drier - I took the solar panel out, and used the jar to hold the rain! When it got cold, the jar was the perfect place to put a candle to keep my tent warm, and the solar light, upside down, served as the perfect tent-side light. And it meant I never lost my tent again, even after all those mojitos! Brilliant!
