Description

With sugar glazed eyes and scuffed knees we clutched our half a crown and craned our necks up to those high shelf jars packed with tooth sticking glory. Oh it almost brings tears to your eyes. So long ago, so many trips to the dentist since, but lament no more, those moments of childish mouth-watering joy are not lost forever. The Retro Sweet jar may cost more than your pocket money from way back when, but surely that's why we have jobs now, and wear long trousers and posh skirts and stuff. Packed with teeth jamming heaven from the past, the Retro Sweet Jar is crammed full of memories such as Drum Sticks, Wham Bars, Flying Saucers, Dolly Mixtures, Tooty Frooties, Dip Dabs, Curly Wurlies, Candy Shrimps, Double Lollies, Fruit Salads, and loads, loads more. Basically it's nostalgia in a jar, and irresistible.

ok but not worth £25 more like £15

great gift but not worth the £25 price, these sweets used to be a penny each, and at most 50p each..... wouldnt buy again, instead id do my own box and buy the sweets on their own :)

The best nostalgia christmas gift ever

My colleague at work happened to show me the gift for his wife which was the jar of Retro sweets from IWOOT. I thought it would be a brilliant idea as a christmas gift for my younger brother. I ordered the Retro sweets and it came perfectly in time for Christmas. He absolutely adored the Retro sweets. It brought back many nostalgic childhood memories for him and for us. These sweets are no longer available for sale in the high streets. Highly recommended if you want to make one of your loved ones happy

Jar damaged

There was a lot less content in the jar than I expected. I paid alot for delivery to Ireland and when it arrived the jar was split open, it was poorly wrapped/boxed by IWOOT, there was more of the couriers tape holding the box together. I could not have passed this on as a gift in the state it arrived.

Brings back memories

Excellent quality product and high class and fast service. Jar full of 70s/80s sweets that will ensure my family put on far more weight over the festive period than I do :o)

fab pressie

i wanted to get my boyfriend a pressie - just something a little different as a graduation present and this was just the ticket. the jar was filled with sweets and after two weeks theres still loads left, it was great to see all the stuff we used to spend our pocket money on. this is a pressie everyone will love.

The gift that keeps on giving

This was fab. I gave it to my husband as a present two months ago and he is still enjoying it! Lots of different goodies, some real old favourites plus some we missed first time round.

Best present for someone who has everything

Bought this for my brother in law. He might be a tough guy on the outside, but he soon crumbled when he saw this. Shame is it only lasted a few days!

black jacks, black tongues - you're never too old!

This was bought as a gift. Upon opening, those around asked for just about everything that was in there - the gobstopper went to the birthday boy of course and we had some peace!.....I know what i'm getting my friends for their following birthdays!
