Description

There are some things in life that you just can't stop yourself from doing, and popping the bubbles on a sheet of bubble wrap is most definitely one of them. We reckon it's nigh on impossible to pass even the smallest scrap of bubble wrap and not want to grab it and squeeze those little bubbles until the make that deeply satisfying 'POP' noise. This compelling, if not addictive, pastime used to be restricted to when you moved house, or someone sensible sent you something in the post. Now fortunately someone with way too much time on their hands, and who obviously wasn't busy designing the new space probe, has come up with an electronic version that fits on your key ring. It's the bubble wrap that never runs out of bubble. Every time you press one of the electronic bubbles, it makes a satisfying popping noise. We've tested several and this one was our winner. Bloody ridiculous, but just you try putting it down.

  • 7 compelling, utterly addictive buttons to 'pop'.
  • The buttons don't disintegrate after the first pop like traditional bubble wrap, they go on and on and...
  • With each push of the buttons, a popping sound is activated.
  • On about the 200th 'pop' the 'pop' becomes a ridiculously random sound - usually a "Yee Ha!".
  • Suitable for ages 8 years+.
  • Requires a LR41 battery (included).
  • Size: 4 x 1.5cm.

Endless fun, Endless popping.

It's simple, compact, and NEVER stops impressing me. Why carry round sheets of bubble wrap to pas the time, when you can have this dainty little gizmo in your pocket? to sum it up, it's worth it's weight in, well... bubble wrap.

Pop plop

I actually thought the poptastic was rubbish. I didnt think it sounded like bubble wrap popping at all and therefore I was very disappointed and wont be using it very much. This was also the opinion of my partner and 2 of my friends, sorry.

NOT the real thing... but not bad!!

Ok, so I got this little piece of gadgetry home expecting it to be just like the real thing... Well, of course it wasn't, this is electronic! The "bubbles" don't feel the same as the real thing and you don't get the supremely satisfying feeling when you have just sent a real bubble off to bubble heaven, but who cares? Ok, so the noise isn't that loud, but come on, this is bubble squishing goodness at it's best (electronically sepaking). And this has the added bonus of never running out of pop! It isn't bad value either (let's face it, who hasn't spent more than a fiver on some useless rubbish before this, eh?). This is recommended for all those with idle thumbs and for those who love to pop bubble wrap (who doesn't?), although not recommended to people that expect this to be "just like the real thing" because it isn't - if it was I am sure it would cost a lot more :D! And for all of you who would just buy bubble wrap instead, think of all the plastic you would be saving just buying one of these little beauties? Mine and my sister's poptastics have been loved to death and I will be buying more in the future, just for a bit of fun!

Meh

Although this is cool in concept, I was a tiny bit let down by this product as it wasn't as realistically bubbley as I expected. Still not bad though, the people I gave them to loved them and it definately gets full marks for addictive qualities!

Amusing for a while.

This is a fun litle gadget, it's kept us amused over christmas and you do find yourself going back to it (especially good for stress relief over the season of goodwill!). Funny little present.

Poptas-tosh! Just buy a roll of bubble-wrap!!

I wouldn't say that this exactly does what it says on the tin because although it makes a pop like noise, it unfortunately does not sound like the real thing! It also definitely does not feel like real bubble wrap! It also says that you should hear a "Ye-ha" after 200 pops and I can vouch for the fact that this one doesn't at 200 or 300 pops! Obviously I was very bored by this point! It does however play its part as a keyring and manages to hold the keys attached to it!

waste of money

i bought this for a christmas present but wished id not wasted the money. pretty poor quality and the battery life was awful. i pressed a few buttons before i wrapped it then it was played with for a few min when it was unwrapped and later on that day when my sister went to play with it and the sounds were hardly there and the battery almost dead. waste of money

saved her sanity

Bought this for my sister. She keeps it in the car and when the (3) kids start to get on her nerves, she starts Poptastic-ing. Calms her down and annoys the kids, complete Mother's Revenge!

very funny product, would like the poping sound to be a bit louder but have had a lot of fun with it!

Fantastic service

The item itself was not what I was expecting, it's simply a keyring with buttons, these are nothing like bubble wrap and the noise it made was disappointing, I wasn't sure if it was actually working. That said, the service I received from IWOOT was fantastic, I've never had such brilliant service from a company. I was unaware the post was recorded, this was a plus and Jenny from IWOOT emailed me to check to see if I've receieved it. It was dispatched the next day after ordering and was very quick. I would buy from IWOOT again no problem and look forward to doing so

Very disappointing

I got this item in the post today. I bought it as a gift and was truly disappointed by it. The 'popping' sound was poor and it just felt like I was pushing remote control buttons... If I wanted to push remote control buttons, I'd change the channel.

Depends on who you are buying for.

The poptastic was a cute little keychain accesorie that i gave to my friend as a quirky birthday gift, it was ok in terms of looks, however the claim that it "looked and felt exactly like bubblewrap" was overexaggerated, it felt like pressing buttons to be honest. However she loved the fact that it went "Yehaw!" after 200 pops :P Its certainly a good little gift for something impersonal.

Slightly disappointed with this product, although it does sound similar to bubblewrap, it feels very different. The 'yeehah' is funny. It is still pretty good for 'stress relief'.

Sadly the noises these made were nothing like bubble wrap, I love the idea and it would be nice if someone managed to pull it off - would not buy these again.
