You've never got a fishing rod on you when you want one. Oh how we remember all those times strolling along the banks of the Limpopo, when up pops the fin of a marlin, or perhaps we hear the splash of a leaping sword-fish, and darn it if we've forgotten a fishing rod. If only we'd had a Pocket Fishing Rod to hand? Of course marlin and swordfish are not fresh-water fish and we've never been to the Limpopo, but it sounded more appealing than watching a dead perch floating in the Grand Union Canal. We're getting off the point somewhat (again!). Ok, this clever little gadget is about the size of a large marker pen at only eight inches long, and yet opens up to become an aluminium alloy 4ft fishing rod, complete with a left and right handed reel (packed separately), a 5lb breaking strain line, and even includes a triple hook spinner. Never again will you be caught short when you spot a fish rise, and it's small enough to carry with you everywhere!
Please note: To cast the Pocket Fishing Rod line you need to pull some slack from the reel. The reel will not automatically cast just by flicking the rod.

Big Sister
Pocket Fishing Rod
I initially bought this Pocket Fishing Rod as a joke for my brother, who is an expert fisherman and who has every bit of fishing equipment ever invented. However he thinks it's a great fishing rod and fully intends to use it, he has also mentioned he can now sneakily go fishing because the fishing rod is so small his wife won't notice him leaving the house with it. Other brother and nephew very disappointed that they didn't get one (in my defence I bought them space hoppers) but as least I know what to get them for their birthdays.

Pocket Fishing Rod
This fishing rod is excellent! Well worth every penny spent on it. How many times have you strolled along a river bank and thought " Wish I had my fishing rod". This is the answer to every fishermans prayers. It is compact and very neat, you will be truly amazed with the quality. I cannot recommend this item enough.

the pocket rod
can it fit in your pocket?
When I first got the fishing rod I noticed that it was a little bigger than I thought it would be and it didn't quite fit in my pocket. The Pocket Fishing Rod was great fun to use and it's very easy to set up! Another bonus is that I was expecting it to be a bit delicate but it was surprisingly sturdy!

PLEASE READ
Everything about this product is perfect, It's not like one of the cheap knock-offs you can get on ebay with paintwork that looks like it was slapped on by a 6 year old and tend to last 3 days and are half the size. This is my 3rd pen fishing rod (the other 2 were from ebay) and by far my favourite, I moved away from my home town not long back now and whenever i go back to fish in the river i always take this rod as it's very small but very VERY strong....Also to those who are complaining about the reel it's a Baitcaster reel....if you can't use it then that doesnt make it a bad product does it?..just get yourself a small spinning reel and attatch it to the rod that's what i have done! honestly if you are looking to get a decent pen fishing rod....DO NOT be tempted to get one of these chinese imports for Less because it will just break in a few days....this rod is byfar the best on the internet of it's kind thankyou for reading this

Poor
I bought this item with high hopes but when I put it all together aand I tried to cast the line out it just swung round and hit me in the face as it was too stiff to release the line. You can unscrew a notch which I did but it only made the line cast out about 10cm before it swung back at me.

Gone Fishing
What a blast. This was transported to my mediteranean house and we caught enough fish to feed half the village. It transported easily in suitcase and was a great surprise for the recipient. Two kilos of Mackeral, one kilo of Sardines amd an Octopus as well was enough to feed us and all the hungry neighbours. A fantastic buy and the look on the recipeints face when they opened this gift was truly magical.

More than a catch!
My boyfriend has been a keen fisherman since I met him which I found a little odd at first as he is not the typical football man but then when I found out how much fun I could have with gifts I changed my mind! He was most definately not expecting this gadget to be ideal but it is the perfect little stoaway for when we go away on a trip and he loves he doesn't have to pay the extra cost of fishing rods on plane! It is the perfect gift for any fisherman as they can carry it around with them wherever they go just in case they see any fish floating around!

Great idea for a gift
I bought it for my boyfriend- he loved the idea of converting it to the pen. He hasn't had the opportunity to use it yet but he was really happy with that gift and is proudly carring it around with him ;)
