Description

The OVO Binary Watch is a neat and engaging innovation that does exactly what you'd expect a Binary Watch to do - it tells the time in Binary format. No longer will you glare down at the classic watch hands or digits - now you can relish the task of adding up the dots to determine the minutes and hours.

It looks like a cross between KITT from Knightrider and a prop from The Matrix, so who wouldn't want a sleek timepiece like this on their wrist? Instant cool, a quirky method and guaranteed to make looking at your watch something to look forward to.

  • Binary Wristwatch that tells the time in Binary format.
  • Add up the numbers (indicated by LEDs) to establish the minute and the hour.
  • 12 hour clock with PM indicator.
  • Requires one CR2032 (included) or two AG12 batteries.
  • Suitable for ages 12 years +.

Size:

  • Strap length: 25.5 cm
  • Face: 3 x 2 cm.

Disappointed

I have had the watch for about 4 days now. And the bottom button has fallen out and i cannot find it. This is pretty poor build quality and i shall be requesting a refund or replacement as soon as i can. I Like the concept as i have another binary watch and the design of this is nice. But i was very dismayed to see that a button had fallen out. Overall it is poor since the bottom button is needed for when the clocks change due to daylight savings

Branded Fuss

I agree with all the reviews that say nice things about the watches style and function. The only thing that would be annoying if i cared is that the watch is described as OVO and the picture shows OVO but it has Fuss written on it instead and comes in a box with Fuss on.

OVO Binary Watch

It's an interesting watch which has been getting a lot of interest from everyone I show it to. It looks good and easy to wipe clean if it gets dirty. It only has one short fall which is that it is a little hard to see the digits as they are a bit small but, if your eye sight is OK then it not too bad.

Watch this space

Time rushes by us by everday, and its about TIME (sorry about the bad joke) a watch moved forward with todaystechnology. And like the main review says Its a neat cross between Knight Riders dashboard and a classic watch creating an all supreme hybrid. And with such an irresistable price tag this is the a must have. But seriously this is a stylish and sofisticated watch, worthy to be on anyones hands. Just add the numbers up and there you have it, the time. Even if it did take you ten minutes to work out. But that said after a few days you will be great with number bonds of twenty. And if you are still quandering wether to by one or not take it from me this is the best twenty pounds I have spent this year, so go on. Treat your self.

Stylish, eye-catching, different and a great price

I'm loving my binary watch! It has a great look to it - the large square face not being too chunky for the wrist, and the red digits really standing out. It takes a few seconds to work out the time sometimes, but my arithmetic is coming on in leaps and bounds! One reviewer suggested it is not really "binary". Well, look at the photos and you'll realise that the time is not told in a series of 1s and 0s. You'd need a pretty long wrist for that. But the watch IS binary: it tells the time by switching lights on ("1") or off ("0") behind each of the displayed numbers. A quick refresher on your 2x, 4x and 8x tables and you'll have it in no time. But back to the watch: it makes a great talking point as well as looking very stylish on my wrist - jet black with bright red numbers. And who could argue, at the price? Thanks IWOOT!

Great prezzie

I bought this for my 13 year old. He loves it. It is "cool" and looks great as well as being different. From my side he is improving his maths!!! Very popular with all his friends too so suggest it to be an ideal gift.

An air of modern class

No other watch I have seen has such an enigmatic appeal, as soon as people catch a glimpse of this poking out from your cuff they can't help but take a second look. Once you are able to read this with ease you can be secure in your swarve appearance as other gaze on mystified, a wonderful watch. It can be challenging at first to read the face in the short time the numbers are illuminated but once you have a system you can be very smug indeed, in a classy way obviously.

Great gadget

I bought this for a friend's 40th and he hasn't stopped raving about it. I had a good look at it and have added it to my birthday list. Good build quality, nicely finished and really different. No-longer is looking at the time a boring activity. Now it's a brain teaser. How quickly can you decipher the binary to work out the time? Great gadget, highly recommended.

Unique gift for techies

Bought this as one of my husband's birthday presents. He's a (happy) computer programmer and LOVED this watch. It's not bulky at all, fairly slimline and elegant. The red LED numbers are not on all the time- they shine for a few seconds when you press a button, so it's not jarring. It's also incredibly easy to program the time (tip: make it a minute in advance as by the time you get to the right sequence of numbers the time's changed!). In all, if you want a unique gift for someone who would know and appreciate what binary means, this is a great idea!

Fantastic

A brilliant purchase! I was concerned that the watch itself would look very big, or be chunky on my wrist (I've got very small wrists, it must be said!). However, this is not the case - it's a very neat size, and pretty thin. As one reviewer already said, you need to press any button (there are 2) to illuminate the numbers. When the watch is not displaying the time, it looks like an interesting wristband up close, and a regular watch from afar. iWOOT says that it's an "OVO" watch - it is, however, branded "Fuss" on the watch and packaging instead. All in all, very pleased. At a price under £20, I would recommend it to any geek!

bargain gadget for xmas

Great Gadget, I wanted something unusual for my two children, other binary watches are at least £60! only took seconds to teach my two how to read the time, they happily show it off to everyone, who are bemused at first. Fast delivery from IWOOT two, I would highly recommend these.

A good buy

The watch is pretty well built and of a good size. Had quite a few comments from friends and colleagues, as I work in quite a technical field, they all got it and were intrigued. After a while it gets easier just to read the time, noticing patterns and such like. The only issues i have with it are... The screen isn't illuminated unless you press a button on the side and by not illuminated i mean you can not tell the time at all, not it wont show up in the dark. I suppose this is an effort to save battery life and not draw attention to the watch but if your hands are full I'd rather just be able to see the time by twisting my wrist and surely you bought this watch to be noticed? Only other problem I've faced is if you go out drinking with it. The time it takes to read it seems exponential to how much youve had to drink and it can get annoying when you get asked for the time by a smug friend. But overall a very good buy. I'd recommendv it to a friend, its a bargain comparative to any of the others on the market.

Great gadget gift

It was my 65th birthday yesterday and my wife knew that I`d love this binary watch. I am a gadget freak and a watch lover, and this is great. My mates are fascinated and it`s amazing how many of them cannot work out the time on it, not to mention how the old duffers have to admit that they need glasses in order to read the time. Ladies buy it for your man!

It's not a binary display

C'mon - it's not a binary display watch is it!! Binary would just be 0101010 - this clearly isn't! Also when the website asks for a specific length nickname - it cant count!
