Once upon a time in a vegetable patch far far away, a genetic experiment went horribly wrong. Fortunately for us, though useless as a sidekick to budding heroes, crossing a root vegetable with a trusty little robot has worked remarkably well, and Artoo Potatoo is the happy result of that distant, if questionable, GM tinkering. In his original form he was quite used to re-building C3PO on numerous occasions (seldom has there been a robot so prone to being disassembled), which is just as well, as he comes with many parts, all of which can be attached in a variety of bizarre arrangements. He comes complete with a little jelly-like Princess Leia - which is meant to depict the hologram of her he tarted about the galaxy all those years ago (though she seems to have undergone similar GM misfortunes). Along with Darth Tater and Spud Trooper (you gotta laugh) Artoo Potatoo is an indispensable desk icon and must-have item for all Star Wars fans, or anyone with a suitably twisted sense of humour and love of the great spud.
