Normally one would do whatever possible to disguise a bare light fitting for fear of feeling like you lived in a squat or student digs (though there's not much to chose between the two). Now with the Lamp Lamp you'll want to actively seek out bare light fittings, heck you may even throw away all your lamp shades. It screws into any standard screw-fit, and once in place looks to all the world as though the light bulb is just stuck there at completely the wrong angle.
