IWOOT Mum Hall of Fame
It's hard to grasp but IWOOT isn't just a dark and dusty room occupied by a monkey on a typewriter and a computer program intent on taking over the world. There are quite a few of us here in IWOOT towers, and seeing as it's so close to Mothers Day we decided that our long suffering mothers deserved a piece of the limelight. So, here you have it - IWOOT mums as they were in their heyday and as they are now. They are going to kill us when we get home...

Tim Booth - Creative Director
Born in Sri Lanka, it would take her five days to fly to England to go to school, so she would spend her school holidays at school. Unsurprising then that she got expelled - three times! She ended up working in the War Office (now MOD). She could do the Telegraph Cryptic crossword in no time at all, and couldn’t sing a note.

Amy Goodwin - Office Wellbeing Manager
Here's a couple of photo's of my mum, the umbrella one is in the Ritz Toilet she made us take loads of photos in there because it was so posh, I think she wanted to get real value for money for her cucumber sandwiches! She smashes Tunnocks on her head, picks off the chocolate and then eats just the marshmallow. She eats Mars bar with a knife and fork to make them more enjoyable! She cleans the bathroom in a unique way so not to get bleach on her clothes!

Melissa Glenister - Senior Buyer
My mum was a fashion model in the 70's in Manchester, now she runs a bed and breakfast, designs gardens and keeps chickens.

Cass Boon - Customer Services Supervisor
It's not particularly funny or flash, but this is my Mum after we'd had a long walk along a cold beach in Whitstable, my sister her and I all stopped for the best hot chocolate ever! She once drove straight through a shop window just after she'd passed her driving test, it was in the local paper and she was mortified. The first one is a young one of her (looking beautiful I think).

Chelsea Byrne - Despatch Team Leader
My mum used to be a punk in the 80's and had a short punk hairstyle!

Paula Knights - Marketing
My Mum is the most loving and giving Mum anyone could wish for, and has always put any of her own needs second to that of her children. She is very sweet and caring and never loses her temper. This doesn't necessarily transfer onto the road though. When she gets behind the wheel a whole different side of her personality comes out. Her Grandchildren call her The Speed Demon!

Lee-Anne Weise - Marketing
My Mum, my best friend and my hero! Practical (she made me say that) bossy, strong and wonderful! We call her Superwoman because she really is a Super Women! So much so, in fact that my nephew even recently convinced her to get a Super Woman tattoo on her back!

Maria Constantinou - CRM Project Facilitator/System Tester
My Mum is the most beautiful person I know, both inside and outside. I know that there isn't a person that knows her that would have anything bad to say about her. She's a great mum and friend, a fantastic cook, a wonderful wife and a brilliant grand-mother to my 3 boys. One thing that amazes me is that she still has this air of innocence about her!

James Sharpe - Graphics Designer
My mom is my rock - and the first port of call when I need some encouragement or sound advice. She did a massive trip around Europe when she finished University, and still shocks us with stories of stealing bread and hiding in life boats... She is truly wonderful!

Jade Neave - Customer Services Executive/Trainer
My mum is a Legend! She puts up with me and that alone is almost impossible! She is always there when I need to talk and supports everything I chose to do in life, no matter how outrageous it is! On a Christmas holiday in Tunisia she stumbled across a turkey shackled to the kitchen floor of her hotel, next thing she knew she is running through the hotel with a huge live turkey in her arms trying to find an exit to set it free! Unfortunately there was no Christmas dinner at the hotel that year. Love you mum!

Sara Boardman - Fraud/Admin Team Leader
My Mum used to be a hippy in her young days and would follow the Beatles all around Scotland. She would steal my grandmother's curtains and make her clothes out of them, and would paint her knee-high boots a different colour every week to match her outfit, and her false eye lashes.
My Mum is my best friend, and my hero. She is the most beautiful person that I know, which such a genuine caring nature towards people. She also gives the most amazing hugs, and that's the one thing that I miss being so far away from her! I feel privileged to have been blessed with such a wonderful mother.
