Maverix HUD Sunglasses
We all spend far too much time bent over our mobile phones, but now that can all come to an end. As the crowds around you drool slavishly over their mobiles looking like hunched and short-sighted techno junkie trolls, you can lounge laconically gazing at the horizon, looking to all the world as though you are above such things as mobile phones. Of course as you're wearing a pair of Maverix HUD sunglasses, you can still effortlessly check your emails, watch movies or feed your Facebook addiction.
Using recently unclassified military technology the Maverix HUD Sunglasses are shoulders above other mobile accessories. On the outside, they just look like your everyday run of the mill sunglasses, but slipping them on plunges the wearer into a shaded world where anything is possible. Enable the blu-tooth on your phone and the Maverix will automatically detect and connect to it, beaming your screen on to the lenses in full colour. You'll be able to see anything that's displayed on your iPhone, Blackberry or PDA's screen as if it were right in front of your eyes, all the while keeping it safely hidden in your pocket. "What's the point of seeing the screen if you can't control it?" we hear you ask, which brings us very neatly to the extremely clever bit.
The Maverix HUD (Heads Up Display) Sunglasses use a state of the art in-lens processor that powers microscopic photovoltaic sensors built in to the lenses. These sensors are capable of tracking pupil and facial muscle movement, which means that you can control your phone or PDA's pointer at a glance - just look at what you want to select and in the blink of an eye the program or web page you selected will open. Iris recognition interfaces and pupil dilation sensors give you absolute control over the heads up display. Understandably the processor uses up a lot of power, but that's no obstacle for the Maverix: there are two metal contact points on the arms of the glasses that harness the electrical energy pulses from your brain, meaning that no battery is required. The only issue we had powering the unit was when we were too tired to think straight, or we popped them on the head of someone very stupid. The low brain impulses resulted in slow interface reaction time, and an annoying amount of screen flicker. Still, don't be fooled into thinking that these are only for the intellectual elite, even fairly low brainwave activity was enough to check out our Facebook page so that we could find out what someone we didn't know very well on the other side of the world was doing 'Right now!
