Toasted sandwiches may be devilishly good, but sandwich makers are, as we all know, a real nightmare. So get rid of it, and get a Diablo, the brand new answer to perfectly-sized and perfectly-formed toasted sandwiches every time. Titanium-coated with a deep reservoir, the Diablo will toast your toasty to perfection, and works over gas, electric or ceramic hobs, as well as over an open fire. Its chic design is a million miles from those huge white plastic toasters, and not only is it dishwasher-safe, it's so compact it'll fit in your kitchen drawer.
It comes with a pile of delicious recipes, from simple sandwiches to pizza calzone and cherry turnover - though of course the great thing about toasted sandwiches is experimenting with weird and wonderful ingredients. Use it at home, at college - it's great for students, camping, or over the BBQ - the Diablo is set to revolutionise the world of toasted sandwiches. No mess, no plug, no problem.

Fast delivery, easy to use and great size for storage
Saw this product at the Gadget show in NEC. Simple to use quick snacks in no time. Excellent delivery service.
Easy enough to use, but care should be taken not to touch the area just above the handle, it's easy to do and easy to burn yourself. The non-stick coating works very well and they're easy to wipe clean. Would have preferred less bread wastage when using sliced bread, but they're great for rolls, hot cross buns & similar shaped breads. We bought 2 and like them, but would probably not buy any more and instead get a couple of rectangular or square alternatives.
Bought the toasted snack maker due to the fact that cleaning the traditional electric one is a nightmare. The Diablo is easy and fast to use and even quicker to clean. The only down sides are that a lot of the bread is wasted, you can only make one sandwich at a time and that the handle can get very hot, so handle with care. Overall for the price i think its a great buy and was happy to throw my electric toaster maker out after the 1st use of the Diablo
I bought 2 of these for Christmas presents. On boxing day the 2 men in my life wanted to try these out, one broke immediately, much to my husbands utter disgust ( it got slung out into the bin faster than you can say 'cheese toastie') the second is still working, and it seems to be doing quite well. You need decent white bread or a muffin as our seeded loaf just fell apart under the pressure. It works ok, the cheese doesnt exactly melt to a gooey consistency as one would expect but its ok. I probably wouldn't recommend it though, its a gimmick and not worth the money.
This little snack maker is great fun. Easy to use and clean. The recipe ideas are great for people like me, with no skills or imagination in the kitchen ;)
Fantastic quality item. Whole family loves it. Originally saw this demonstrated at the Ideal Home Exhibition but didn't buy at full price. It is very easy to use and makes amazing toasted snacks but be careful, it does get very hot and first time I used it, I heated it up as directed and then burnt myself as my hand slipped too far up the handle. Have used many times since then with no problems just increased awareness... I've brought 2 as Christmas presents but will be warning the recipients that they do get very hot very quickly.
Much easier than electric toasters, far easier to clean! Only downside is a lot of wastage from the bread, and toastie size could be bigger!
Very good idea - great sandwiches, sweet and savoury
Item brought for Christmas so not used yet hence the 4 stars, but packaging great and item looks sturdy and durable.
A wonderful kitchen gadget for anyone who loves cooking and made a wonderful present! Fast delivery too!
Bought two of these for Christmas gifts. What a really swanky idea. My friends will love them
Had one of these for years, by son, who is in Uni tried to take it with him !! Xmas stocking filler !! Brilliant
I saw this at the good food show last year was very impressed but it was out of my price range so when I saw it on IWOOT for this great price I bought 2 one for my san and daughter.
These are great! Bought them a couple of weeks ago but only just tried them out. So easy to put the bread in and fill them up with all sorts of stuff. Cooked them over a gas hob in under five minutes. The "plastic" handle was my only concern before buying. However they're really good quality. They metal part got hot enough to burn my finger during cooking but there wasn't even a hint of the plastic part melting. Can see them coming with me camping or to festivals as they will work equally well on a stove or bonfire.
The Diablo is the fastest way to make a tasty snack. I have had a Diablo for several years and every time my friends see how easy it is I end up buying one for them.(presents sorted). IWOOT is also the cheapest place to buy them that I have found. You can use on any hob or probably a barbecue. For toasties just put a slice of bread, unbuttered, on one side of open Diablo. Put in required filling( Am still hooked on cheese and onion), then put another slice of bread on top and close Diablo. Trim off edges of crusts that are sticking out and put on hob. Cooks for about 2 mins each side. Make sure not to touch the HOT black bit of the handle when you check if it is cooked enough. Can cook an egg in them too. Pastry is also a possibility so you could make little Apple pies.
Great item, once you get the hang on how to place the bread in for best results....I cut the corners off of the bread to make it easier to make a perfect round deep filled toasted sadwich which is only restricted by your imagination. They cook perfectly on a gas hob, camping stove and a fire and you get perfect results everytime! I thought it might become one of those gadgets that you use a couple of times then it gets relegated to the back of the cupboard to collect dust.....but no, it's ideal for a hot snack whenever you feel peckish. Easy to clean which is more than can be said for most sandwich toasters that's for sure!! Great design great price what more can I say!
What a superb item. Really easy to use and makes the most delicious savoury and sweet snacks. My only criticism - and it's only a small one. - is that the heatproof handle could be a bit longer but other Han that I would highly recommend this product.
Seriously, out of the box I was disappointed. Way to small to make a decent snack. But you have to try it. Small but sooo deep. Sooo easy to use, soooo easy to clean and store in a drawer. The food tastes good too. Well happy. Thanks IWOOT
So we bought one of those chimineas. You know, the burners you can use outside but can never really cook on. Forget that! Now you can! The Diablo is fairly easy to use. Butter the bread put into the holder. Add some filling and close. Any excess bread can be trimmed off with a knife and then into the burner for 2/3 minutes a side. Makes a terrific toasted cheese sarnie and we are now looking at the recipes for apple pie! Yum!
This is a great toastie maker have used it tons and only had it a week, a lot easier to clean and use compared to some electric toastie machines. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Overall this is a good product! I have mostly used it for toasted sandwiches and there can be quite alot of waste due to the size and shape of the Diablo.
I have always liked toasties but like camping more this seemed like a way to combine the two, I thought it may be a little small but it looks like it is designed to accommodate most sizes of bread slice. it is deep enough to pack loads of filling in, it seals every time, once warmed up it seems much quicker than the electric ones, also works well on the ceramic hob at home, I have found lots of recipe ideas online and working my way through them, I would certainly buy another.
Nice gift for my mum. She loves it and me as well. Slurp!
Excellent product, I use this mainly for toasted snacks for my little daughter. Like most children she isn't keen on the crust and this little beauty cuts them perfectly using most of the slice of bread and leaves the crust. Takes a couple of attempts to get used to how much you can put in, but once you've mastered it they come out brilliantly. So far we've made savoury toasties with cheese, ham, onion, mushrooms. And sweet ones using a mixture of nutella, bananas, strawberries... They have all come out perfect! The only problem so far is i could do with another one so i can cook two toasties at the same time!
Fun & useful! My dad had something similar to this when he was younger. It rusted and had to be thrown out,we hadn't seen anything like it again until now. Great present good value for money, worthy purchase.
Bought this after reading several reviews of overnight fishermen making lovely hot meals on a gas camping stove.
We had one of these when I was a kid and I had one up until about twenty years ago and I was just saying to my husband last week that I wish I could get another egg toastie thing (we love it with egg in middle) I'm off to order one now. Ps older ones also held heat on metal but only had one hinge and had wooden handle.
Wow....gorgeous loaded toasties with minimal mess! Totally addictive so we now have 2 Diablos so hubby & I can have one at the same time.
This is really handy and simple, Toasties work out well and its less hassle than a sandwich maker. The only minor thing is the hinge part (the horns) could do with being a little further from the main area so the bread can fit better when closing. So.. bigger horns required! for mk2 :)
Arrived very very quickly, within taking out the packaging used it immediately. Very easy to follow instructions and some good recipe's came with it. really easy to clean and perfect for quick snacks. Only downside is, it is easily easy to touch the hot section of the handles (Black part) but once used to it, it isn't a problem. Excellent value for money and good quality product.
great little gadget for a quick snack
Great toasters and so easy to make
I don't know why but I expected this to be huge - I had high hopes of making Diablos the size of dinner plates! Its not, its tiny. However, the fact that you can deep fill the snack maker with almost anything MORE than makes up for it!
bought on of these some time ago great for quick and easy snacks and when it came to xmas bought 3 more as everyone so impressed that I thought they would be ideal gifts. simple item but simple is always good, 3 minutes to a snack as healthy or unhealthy as you want no mess no fuss. just one warning be careful not to touch the metal near handle after or during use easy to do accidentally and I have burned myself several times. other than that great, still finding new things to make baked beans and cheese very good
It's ok but actually feels a bit flimsy and needs to be slightly bigger!
makes excellent toasted better than the electric sandwich makers plus less hassle to use and clean. ideal if you want one or two toasties. obviously care needed in refilling if making a second toasties as it will retain heat and still be hot. bought to make proper toasties and for when there is no electric. very pleased with results not tried making a pie with it yet but that looks interesting. i also bought a second dialog as a gift.
Easy to use, easy to clean.and who doesn't like a toastie! Bliss not to have tet another electrical product taking up more room in already bursting kitchen cupboards
What a great idea for snacks. Super versatile and totally non stick. I bought it for my daughter, who love s toasted sandwiches but hates all the burnt on bits. We look forward to trying it on the beach.
I loved the idea of the Diablo Toasted Snack Maker and was looking forward to making toasted sandwiches. Having used the product it actually takes much longer as it is very small. One toasted sandwich could be eaten in four bites. Thus you spend more time making more little toasted sandwiches. Plus with the product being so small you waste lots of bread.
Saw the Diablo snack maker whilst browsing and loved the idea, plus the reviews were very positive. Brilliant invention, great for just about every situation. My daughter loves the toasted sandwiches, and it's very convenient for use at home or to pack away on holiday. Easy to use and clean. Great for savoury or sweet fillings. The options are endless. Would recommend!
great item for quickand easy snacks lots of recipies available on website and easy to create your own, when cool comes apart for easy cleaning one gadget that will definatly will not end up in the back of a cupboard, too easy and handy
The Diablo Sandwich Toaster is awesome. It makes great sandwiches but can also be used for other things like pies (filo pastry and apple or cherry pie fillings - awesome). Timings can take some to figure out depending on gas/electric but it is lovely jubbly when sorted. It is much better than a normal toaster maker, no need for plugs, no mess and no washing up!
Having grown up with hot toasties, Diablo Sandwich Toaster is everything I expected it to be. Very convenient, makes excellent hot toasties, is easy to use, easy to clean and store and, above all, safe to use. Can't speak highly enough of this well-made product and its versatility. Ideal item for any and all kitchens and great for delicious, fast, toasted sandwiches of all descriptions. Excellent buy.
My parents have had a sandwich toaster like the Diablo for many years. I have been looking for one as it makes great toasted sandwiches which to me are comfort food. When I got it I was eating my first toasted sandwich in under 15 minutes (and that included unpacking it!). Absolutely excellent and brings back fond memories.
My wife and I think that the Diablo Sandwich Toaster is a product that ticks all the boxes. We just wish that you could make it bigger.
Everybody is so quick to say how much bread you waste by removing the crusts. I would just like to suggest something to all of those people which i find works really well with my diablo. If you are making more than one or two toasties in the diablo then save the crusts and make the next one out of the crusts. as long as you put the crusts together like a jigsaw and push firmly down to compact it into the mould it is quite easy to use the crusts and not loose them. It also holds together really well and as long as you have a tight seal none of your filling will escape. Dont waste money buying a loaf of bread which is smaller and costs more just use the crusts again its great!!! Try it . . .
All I can say is brilliant. It is Easy to use, easy to clean, produces great toasted sandwiches and cools down quickly.
Great little toaster, makes great little snacks in no time and is perfectly easy to clean! Size disappointed me a little bit as it wasted so much bread, but I realised it was so it could sit nicely on the hob so you don't have to keep hold of it while it's cooking! To sort the problem of waste...I buy loaves of small toastie bread especially for the Diablo! Less waste produced :) To sum it up the Diablo is perfect for quick snacks, (I even make breakfast with it) and it even comes with a few recipe ideas to try out. Great product :)
Had one brough for me, its great, makes a wicked cheese and marmite toasty, and tastes great, used it on the BBQ last night, even seals it shut, was using my George Forman but he's now had to retire in the toasty making department
