The Solar PIR Utility Light features a powerful 0.6W solar panel wich absorbs sunlight and charges the high capacity battery during the day, so there are no running costs. When night falls the Solar PIR will light up as soon as it detects motion and turn itself off 25 seconds after motion stops.
Choose to use it outside as a solar security light or as a shed light, simply position the solar panel on top of your shed, then when you enter your shed it will light up automatically and then turn off 25 seconds after you leave. Solar PIR Utility Light
Although this light is not solidly build, it proved to be waterproof immediately - as it rained heavily as soon as I had fitted it to the wall! It gives a very good light for such a small lamp, and lights up the steps to our front door to provide safe access at night. The PIR works from at least 20 feet away, and also lights up our lower flight of steps when the light on the garage turns off at night. The light then turns of very soon after you get in the house, meaning that it does not waste any power stored in the battery, other than that required to light your way. I needed to mount the light on the north-facing side of the house, so the longish lead from the light unit to the solar panel enabled me to position the panel around the side of the house to catch the sun. Despite the fact that I did not purchase an extension lead to take this fully round to the south side, the panel still collects enough light to keep the battery well charged for regular night use. A very good purchase. It easily solved the problem of lighting the steps without the need to drill through a wall (filled with cavity insulation) to provide mains electricity.
An excellent product
Ideal to light the back steps in the garden and is pretty good value for money. Easy to get up and running and gives a goood spread of light. Not as intrusive as a normal powered PIR so doesnt cheese the neighbours off if its set off in the dead of night by cats. Good IR range and decent amount of light emitted

Lights arrived very quickly, very well packaged. They are extremely easy to fit and there is a long lead between the solar cell and the light unit which makes placement very easy.
