The clue's in the name with this Wind-Up Race Track. It offers all the excitement and fun of a classic racing game but with one added bonus, absolutely no mains power or batteries are required. All you need to do is connect the track together, place the cars in their start positions, plug in the dynamo controllers and wind their handles to race like an F1 pro. There are no messy wires trailing across the room and no worries about short-lived batteries.
Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines, or, in this case, get ready to wind up the racing track with the connecting dynamos. The track features two individually powered lanes, so players can race against one another for as long as they've got the puff to crank their speed controllers. There's a fair level of skill involved though - if you go too fast you're likely to cause a pile-up, if you take it too easy you're never going to be the first to pass that chequered flag and crack open the Champagne.
The 1.43 scale Wind Up Racing Track stretches for approximately 8.5metres in total and is peppered with challenges - think uphill climbs, hairpin bends and points at which the lanes cross over, resulting in your car switching from the outside to the inside of the track or vice versa. Plus, thanks to the interconnecting track sections, you can set up numerous racing circuits - perfect for keeping the course fresh.

Boys and their toys!
I bought the Wind Up Racing Car Track for my boyfriend's birthday. With it being summer it meant the car could be enjoyed outside during a BBQ. It went down really well with all the boys, aged early 20s to late 30s. The track is a fun design with plenty of turns and crossovers, and I presume you can lay it out in whatever design you'd like. The only issue we had with it is that the cars would struggle on a specific point of the track but that might have been due to the boys' careless building of the track. All in all, a fun track and great value for a set of that size. I'm sure it would appeal for family camping holidays too!
Awesomeness
I bought this Wind Up Racing Car Track as a birthday present for my girlfriend's little boy and he absolutely loves it! Being a typical 3 year old he's very boisterous and using this has taught him how to curb that (somewhat), learn some control and have hours of fun at the same time. I was also kind of hoping that he wouldn't like it so I could use it as at nearly 30 I'm just a big kid too, but we've spent hours building the circuit and playing and it's been really good bonding time as well. I really good buy and a brilliant price too.
