If you think that telling the time on a conventional clock is just too easy for you to be bothered with, then you need to get yourself one of these Equation Clocks. Rather than your usual 1-12 numbers (how boring is that?), the Equation Clock has a different complex sum that tells you which number is which. For example, the number 8 on the clock face is represented by the square root of 64 - don't tell us you can't work it out.
You might think that this sort of thing is solely the preserve of nerds and people who want to show off about how clever they are, but once you start to work some of them out it's actually quite fun. Just in time! (I think)
I bought this Equation Clock as a present for my mother, a maths teacher at a local secondary school. As soon as I saw it I thought: "perfect!" and what's more, it arrived just in time for the start of term - amazing! Of course, naturally, she loved the clock and put it up on the wall in her room. I was told that it wasn't long before one of her pupils asked the question that we never thought we'd hear a secondary school student say: "what time does the clock say miss?". However, what's even better is the fact that my mother can answer with the words: "10 minutes to root 4!". Overall, I fully recommend this product unless.

Learning the time in a whole new way!
I must say one of this is the best clock I have seen, I was torn between this and the backwards clock but as I'm big on math, it had to be this!

I found this when reading an email I had recieved and new it was absolutely perfect as a present for my friend, so ordered it at once. I was not let down- it is exactly as described and greatly admired by all who saw it. And best of all people, it DOES NOT tick! (this was important to me!) I would definetely recommend this to anyone who is into maths, as not only does it look good on your wall but it also encourages a bit of brain training in the office or before bed. Perhaps a little on the costly side, but worth it in the end!

I bought tis for my maths teacher friend. She does a lot of home tuition so was pleased with this gift. Her pupils will have to widen their knowledge to work out when the end of the lesson is.
Funkiest Clock for Mathematicians
I'm stoked with my Equation Clock. I have been able to use it for revising Maths across an array of maths topics from simply division to solving quadratic equations. If the person in your life loves numbers this is the clock for them. If the person in your life doesn't love numbers this is the clock that will start them on a new journey of discovery!
