Uncompromising former model Maddie Hayes (Cybill Shepherd, The Last Picture Show) loses her fortune to an embezzling accountant; all she has left are a few money-losing businesses retained as tax write-offs. Among these is the Blue Moon Detective Agency, which Maddie plans to sell off until the fast-talking detective David Addison (Bruce Willis, Die Hard, The Sixth Sense, Pulp Fiction) convinces her that the business can turn a profit. The two form a partnership, solving the eccentric cases that are forever turning up at Blue Moon.
